This question is about how to calculate full time equivalent.

What does 100% FTE mean?

By Zippia Team - Dec. 7, 2022

100% FTE refers to an employee who works full-time for the company. If an employee is designated as 100% FTE (or 1.0 FTE), that means they count as one whole full-time employee.

If they are designated as 50% or 0.5 FTE, that means they work half the number of hours that are considered full-time at that company and are part-time employees.

In the same way, 80% or 0.8 FTE employees work 80% of the number of hours that are considered full-time, and so on.
