This question is about design and sales consultant resumes.
A good summary for a sales resume is one that covers who you are as a salesperson, illustrates what you bring to the table, and highlights your accomplishments. As someone in sales, you know it's all about how you present yourself. Think of your summary statement as the first selling point for a hiring manager.
The goal of a profile summary is to introduce your resume quickly and effectively and brand yourself to the potential employer. As such, your sales summary should be no longer than 2 to 4 sentences in length. It sets the tone for the rest of the resume and should be located at the top of it just after your name and contact information.
After reading a sales summary on a resume, you should be able to answer the following questions:
Who the salesperson is
What type of sales do they specialize
Core skill or accomplishment
For example, "Efficient and effective sales representative with over four years of experience in medical and pharmaceutical sales and managing business, professional, and corporate client accounts. Member of the National Association of Pharmaceutical Sales Reps and CNPR Certified."
Finally, be sure to showcase your success as a lawyer with a quantifiable achievement. You can also talk about how your particular skills align perfectly with the position at hand.
For example, "Exceeded sales goals by more than 15% each quarter. Seeking to leverage solid negotiation skills and extensive product knowledge to be the senior pharmaceutical sales rep for Company X."
