What is the hiring process at Club Med?

The hiring process at Club Med is not too difficult but does invoke several steps. The entire hiring process takes anywhere from two weeks to several months, depending on numerous factors; in particular, if you're applying to work at a Club Med that is outside of the country you currently reside in.

The Steps involved in Club Med's Hiring Process:

  • Step one: Application

  • Step two: Telephone interview

  • Step three: Recruitment session

  • Step four: Employment

  • Step five: Resort assignment.

Step One: Application.

To complete your application, you must do the following:

  • Search open jobs on Club Med's career website

  • Create a Club Med profile with a username and password

  • Click Apply for the job that you're interested in applying to

  • Answer some basic demographics and contact information

  • Attach your CV and a cover letter to stack all the odds in your favor

You can apply for more than one job on Club Med's career website, but they encourage you to apply for the job that interests you the most.

The length of time it takes to process applications may vary from one position to another, but Club Med is committed to responding to each applicant who has expressed an interest in one of their positions.

Step Two: Telephone interview.

Phone interview (sometimes given in multiple languages that the applicant stated on their application that they know). The interview is usually only 15 minutes and includes questions about the company, about you as a professional but also about your motivation and dreams as an individual.

Step Three: Recruitment Session Interview

The recruitment session takes almost a full day to complete. The next step is for candidates to come on-site for a day of activities with other candidates.

Typical schedule of a recruitment session:

  • Morning

    • Video about the various Club Med resorts

    • A presentation about the company's history, culture, values, and mission.

    • Short break and a chance to mingle with the other candidates.

    • Game show style quiz about the content we had covered, and small prizes (mini trophies, bracelets, shirts) were awarded for correct answers.

  • Candidates assemble into smaller groups for a QA session about the roles and responsibilities.

  • One-on-one interviews with G.O.s from various departments. This may include several rounds of interviews, each lasting around 30 minutes.

  • Are you a social person?

  • What experience/qualifications do you have that would help you in your role?

  • Have you ever visited a Club Med resort?

  • Can you name two positive and two negative aspects you experienced? How do you feel we could improve or do better?

  • If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

  • What is your life dream?
