What is the hiring process at Convera?

• Being detail-oriented while also able to simultaneously look at the big picture to recognize patterns and connect the little things

• General understanding of complex correspondent banking/payment services for organizations with multiple financial products

• Ability to react quickly to changing requirements and deal with a certain level of uncertainty

After your application, you will be contacted by a recruiter for a phone screening. You may have several phone screenings with different recruiters during the hiring process.

If you pass the phone screening(s), you are scheduled for a formal in-person or video interview with members of your potential team. This stage is a panel interview where the team members take turns asking you questions that pertain to your experience, skills, and knowledge surrounding the role.

After this, you are interviewed by a supervisor or hiring manager from the department you are seeking to work in.

Here are some questions to expect in your Convera interviews:

• Do you have experience in the global financial markets?

• What are your strengths?

• What motivates you in the workplace?

Software design and IT roles have more technical questions during the interview phase. You may also be asked to give a presentation or take a test for these roles.

Convera also conducts a thorough background check on all candidates. Felonies and certain misdemeanors make you ineligible for employment with the company. The entire hiring process for Convera can be lengthy, taking as long as a few weeks to a month.
