What is the hiring process at Minted?

Once submitted, you may need to wait several weeks before hearing back. In other cases, you may hear back the next day. It really depends on the position and the needs of the company.

If Minted likes the cut of your jib, then they will schedule a phone call. The phone call is usually with someone from HR and is part of the initial screening process. Anticipate basic questions about your resume and your desire to work at Minted. From there, the HR representative, if interested, will schedule an onsite interview or zoom call.

Minted interviews for technical or design positions:

Anticipate a full day or half-day of on-site interviews that will include a one-on-one with the hiring manager and a group interview with other candidates. Plan to be asked a lot of job-specific questions, including mock scenarios, puzzles, and problem-solving. In some cases, you may be given a written or practical test at some point in between your interviews.

Common technical and design interview questions:

• Tell me about some of your favorite examples of good UX.

• Questions related to your understanding of Adobe, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign, as well as experience printing in CMYK.

• Assessment with questions regarding how to navigate their site

• What do you like the most and the least about our website?

• Mock job-specific scenarios

Minted interview for non-technical positions:

• Anticipate coming in for a half-day, sometimes a full day of interviews that will focus on job-specific questions, behavioral assessments, and over team and company fit questions. In most cases, plan for several one-on-one interviews.

Common interview questions include:

• What are your favorite designers, and why?

• What are your greatest strengths and weaknesses?

• Why do you want to work for Minted?

• Where do you see yourself in five years?

• How do you respond to negative feedback?
