Interviews:
For a team member or barista position, you will typically have two interviews. Once your application is submitted and Pret a Manger is interested, they will call you to schedule an in-store interview.
This interview is typically one-on-one with a hiring manager and can last up to 15 to 20 minutes. Anticipate questions related to your work experience and your interest in working at Pret a Manger.
If that interview goes well, you will be asked to come back to do a show interview. This interview is pretty interesting. You get to explore all the different aspects of the restaurant's day-to-day operations.
Typically the manager will give you ten to 15 minutes in each section. Everyone in the shop gives their opinion about your work ethic and energy, and the store general manager makes the final decision if everyone wants you on their team. If all goes well, expect to be scheduled within the following week or two.
For management and corporate office positions, you will have anywhere from two to five interviews. The interviews will include one-on-ones with the department and regional managers, leadership team, and HR.
