About the Team The Advanced Research Computing (ARC) team develops and operates a dynamic computing environment optimized for economic research, analysis, and measurement, and made available to staff across the Board’s economics divisions. ARC resides in the Division of Research and Statistics (R&S) and supports roughly 850 economists, analysts and staff engaged in monetary policy and independent research efforts. ARC staff members are highly motivated professionals, interested in a broad array of technologies, willing to learn, to teach, to lead, and to achieve. About the Role ARC is seeking a Technology Analyst (TA) with strong IT help desk support experience to provide onsite and remote technical support. This position will support ARC’s Help Desk and be required to work a set schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. ET. There may also be an infrequent requirement to work on Saturday or outside set/core hours. The Help Desk TA provides Tier 1 user support, performs troubleshooting, is responsible for the proper routing of calls and tickets, assists with the setup of office technology and mobile phones, deploys software, and assists with the tracking of asset inventories. The candidate should demonstrate strong technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint), Outlook for Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online/OneDrive, internet browsers (e.g., Firefox, Edge, Chrome), HP laptops, Microsoft Surface tablets, and Microsoft Windows 10 operating system. Position Requirements Candidates should have a solid understanding of hardware and software fundamentals, mobile phone support, network printing, and problem-solving skills that are typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or an equivalent combination of training and related experience. Applicants should possess strong oral and written communication skills and have a strong commitment to customer service.
