The major focus of this position is to provide training and support to the front-line staff implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs through supervision and program development. A Level 1 BCBA is differentiated from a Level 2 BCBA based on caseload. Expectations for the Level 1 BCBA caseload are described below. Board Certified Behavior Analysts are responsible for developing and supervising the implementation of behavior and treatment plans for the individuals we serve. Provide training to parents and staff on the implementation of behavior plans and/or therapy goals. Monitor the implementation of therapy treatment plans and modify plans when needed. Provide training for families and professionals in the area of ABA (only if a BCBA), Positive Behavior Supports, environmental modifications and other accommodations. Provide direct therapy for clients at in the center, at home or in other environments as needed. Provide consultation and training for area schools and provider agencies in the area of behavior supports as requested Provide support to families, and help to find appropriate resources to aid in the client's treatment Develop and conduct a training series for parents and professionals on topics related to the general topic of autism and more specific topics such as behaviors, increasing communication, toilet training etc. Assist in the development of therapy services resource materials relating to behavior and communication and social skills Provides training and direction to LOGAN staff regarding client behavior, intervention strategies, program development, etc. as requested Work as a team member to develop and enhance the services provided by Therapy Services Works in cooperation with LOGAN community partners, including The University of Notre Dame, Memorial Hospital, Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, to more relevant partners (Riverwood, Berrien RESA, Lakeland, United Way, Woodlands, Van Buren, etc.) Assist in marketing and promoting the on-going financial sustainability of the services of the center. Provide information to the accounting department needed for billing for services provided with accuracy and within the designated time frame. Work effectively with insurance companies and other funding sources to ensure on-going approval and funding of treatment plans. Provide supervision to staff assigned to service the BCBA's/ Social Workers caseload in accordance with LOGAN's HR policies and procedures including timely completion of performance reviews, disciplinary procedures, and payroll policies. Maintain a positive and respectful relationship with families and maintain appropriate professional boundaries with families, colleagues, and other staff. Demonstrate cultural competency in providing consistent high-quality services to individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultural circumstances. Completes ADOS training program or present proof of ADOS certification and credentialing, if appropriate and required Completes ADOS assessment for clients as needed to maintain up to date diagnostics and meet insurance requirements, only if trained and credentialed to do so. Must meet all requirements to serve First Steps Clients in Indiana Experience Strong knowledge of & experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder & other developmental disabilities Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Credentialed as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (only if working as a BCBA) Appropriate state required licensure to complete and bill for clinical work Excellent ability to communicate with families and other professionals Experience developing and conducting training for various audiences.
