Douglas Dietzman is Executive Director of Great Lakes Health Connect (GLHC), the state's largest, self-sustaining community health information organization. At its formation, he developed Michigan Health Connect's HIE business plan and private sustainability model with the founding participants. The network serves over 6.5 million consumers across the state and transacts over 83 million messages monthly. His experience over the past 20+ years includes business and technology leadership in integrated delivery systems, health plans, physician offices, consulting and internet startup companies having worked for Andersen Consulting, Spectrum Health, First Consulting Group, iBelieve.com, Mercy Health Services, and Michigan Health Connect. He was named a 2011 Thought Leader in Health Care by Business Review West Michigan. He serves as a member of Washington DC based eHealth Initiative's Leadership Council and is a Board member of the Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC), a national trade association for health information exchange organizations.
