About the role
The Portfolio Impact Summer Associate will work alongside the Portfolio Impact team to support our portfolio companies through business and corporate development. Specifically, you will build relationships with technologists at global companies and provide thoughtful, curated recommendations of StepStone portfolio companies that are relevant to their interests and priorities. Those recommendations are based informed by research and insights we gather via fund and portfolio company relationships.
This unique role provides meaningful exposure to some of the top investors and operators within venture capital. Further, the Summer Associate position is an excellent opportunity to gather perspective on the venture industry, hone your business development skills, and develop an understanding of the technology trends shaping our future.
What you'll do
Conduct Market Research: Identify potential customers or partners for portfolio companies by researching industry trends, key players, and target markets.
Support Relationship Building: Assist in nurturing relationships with key contacts by organizing meetings, sharing relevant materials, and ensuring a professional follow-up process.
Collaborate with Portfolio Companies: Work closely with portfolio company teams to understand their product offerings, target customer profiles, and sales strategies.
Facilitate Warm Introductions: Coordinate and execute outreach to potential customers, using email, phone, or events, to introduce portfolio companies and their solutions.
Develop Target Lists: Maintain the firm's database of corporate relationships and identify new prospective partners, leveraging tools like LinkedIn, CRM platforms, and industry directories.

This role will focus on internal, enterprise-facing AI initiatives designed to improve efficiency, scalability, and decision-making across core business functions.

Assist the Vice President with administrative duties.
Assist the business development manager in creating and presenting complex proposals for commercial customers.
Assist with calls to source new opportunities.
Collaborate with the business development manager in creating social media content and marketing campaigns.

**Opportunity**
Abt Global seeks bright, talented, and intellectually curious students to participate in our summer Abternship as an AI Business Process Intern. This role will focus on internal, enterprise-facing AI initiatives designed to improve efficiency, scalability, and decision-making across core business functions.
As a paid intern supporting Abt's Transformation and Technology efforts, you will work alongside cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation, map current and future state processes, and support the development of AI-enabled solutions. This internship offers hands-on exposure to applied AI in a real-world enterprise environment, with opportunities to contribute to initiatives spanning finance, human resources, talent forecasting, proposals, and reporting.
Interns will be immersed in Abt's organizational culture while participating in a structured program that includes professional development, networking opportunities, and mentorship. Interns may be remote, hybrid, or in person and can be located anywhere in the United States.
The Summer Internship Program at Abt Global is 10 weeks, beginning June 1, 2026, through August 7, 2026. Interns must be able to work full time 40 hours per week for the duration of the program and participate in required programming, seminars, and meetings throughout the Abternship.
**Key Roles and Responsibilities**
+ Partner with internal stakeholders across multiple departments to understand existing business processes and document current state workflows.
+ Assist in designing and documenting future-state workflows that leverage AI and automation. Support enterprise AI initiatives in areas such as:

+ Finance operations (cash flow, accounts payable, accounts receivable)
