Job Description
The Des Moines Menace is looking for a highly motivated individual interested in being a part of the United Soccer League team in Des Moines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, the ability to multitask, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. This is a paid, part-time spring and summer position.
Responsibilities
Assisting with the Des Moines Menace youth programs including tournaments and camps.
Managing registration platforms for youth programs.
Lead marketing efforts for youth programs.
Develop relationships with local youth clubs to support the growth of soccer.
Assisting in the management of website and social media initiatives to promote youth programs.
Organize logistics for summer camps including, but not limited to, staff scheduling, equipment management, and communications to participants.
Work regular season Menace home matches in May - August. This includes full-day dedication to game day set up, servicing fans, and post-game tear down. In game responsibilities vary on the needs of the match but will include management of ball retrievers and Anthem Buddies.
As available, assist with pre-season events such as Open Cup.
Maintain confidentiality for sensitive club information.
Other projects and duties as directed by Menace Soccer Operations Manager.
Qualifications
A passion for sports and knowledge of the game of soccer is preferred.
Ability to lift 5/10/25 pounds regularly.
Ability to be detail oriented, problem solve, and communicate with colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects at a time with tight deadlines.
Computer proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Proven team player who is willing to work long days, nights, and weekends.
