Job Overview:
A respiratory therapist is responsible for the care, evaluation and tests of the patients suffering from complications related to the breathing system.Respiratory therapists practice under the able guidance of expert physicians and should ensure that all respiratory care, starting from diagnosis to therapeutic treatment is properly carried out.

Essential Functions:
• Administer aerosol medication, Chest PT and related therapies including medical gas therapy per physician orders or approved protocols. Perform rounds on all assigned patients to deliver appropriate care.
• Assess and interpret patient status using Laboratory and Radiology results along with vital signs and other assessments to identify and provide appropriate care based on the specific needs identified. Evaluate therapy orders for completeness, appropriateness, quality and effectiveness using Evidence-Based Practice Guidelines. Recommend changes in the care plan based on assessments and guidelines.
• Correctly complete all patient records and documentation according to Department policy including patient assessment, plan of care, E-MAR, patient education and performance improvement fields. Rarely leaves Overdue Tasks.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skill in the use of Oxygen Therapy, BiPAP, CPAP and High Flow Nasal Cannulas (HFNC) for use in primary assignment area (i.e. neonate, infant, pediatric and adult) patient populations. Knowledge and skill includes device and interface selection, application, operational verification and modes of therapy. Assess effectiveness of therapy. Report any adverse reaction or side effects such as skin irritation.
• Demonstrate Knowledge and skill in the use of invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation in primary assignment area (i.e. neonate, infant, pediatric and adult) patient populations. Knowledge and skill includes device and interface selection, application, operational verification, troubleshooting, and modes of therapy. Assess effectiveness of therapy three times per shift. Report any adverse reactions or side effects such as skin irritation.
• Comply with all Department, Infection Prevention, and Safety policies and procedures. Demonstrate knowledge of National Patient Safety Goals and relevant Standards from Joint Commission, Department of Health, CMS and other regulatory bodies.
• Determine priorities and organizes work and time to meet them. Demonstrate the ability to function in a diverse workforce. Interact tactfully, constructively and diplomatically with others.
• Perform emergency airway care procedures and maintain patient ventilation during emergent situations. As ordered and if certified, establish, maintain and obtain samples from arterial lines. Perform arterial punctures to obtain arterial samples. Analyze arterial, capillary, and venous blood samples.
• Complete all mandatory Competencies within specified timeframe. Complete all Healthstream online training within specified timeframe.
• Attend external and internal educational programs as part of continuing education.

In partnership with FEC staff, families will drive the planning, development, and sustainable co‑ownership of the centers. The goal of the FEC is to strengthen families' protective factors and build community connections, capacity, and resilience.
Position Summary
The Family Advocate is responsible for contributing to the day‑to‑day operation of the FEC including building connections with other staff, residents, and community partners; co‑designing and delivering relevant programming and activities (offerings); providing advocacy and making referrals for participants; and creating a warm and inviting gathering place for families and individuals using the protective factors model to support community resilience.
Responsibilities
Coordinate meetings, provide support, and collaborate with a team of local parents, subject experts, and other residents to deliver monthly events and activities (offerings) held at the FEC.
Foster a culture of respect built on the belief that families and communities possess the inherent strengths and knowledge needed to succeed given the right access to opportunities and support.
Provide advocacy, outreach, and referrals to connect participants to service providers and other programs that have resources to offer.
Engage groups of local community members of all ages and guide them through the co‑designed activities and programming of the FEC.
Manage enrollment and attendance at offerings and events.
Care for and attend to the physical space of the FEC program to ensure it is safe, welcoming, organized, and appealing to participants and community members.

Effectively utilize tracking and reporting mechanisms and accurately enter data and run reports in the FEC website and other agency databases as needed to obtain program‑level data, compiling statistical or written reports for agency and external stakeholders.
Manage the FEC website to communicate with and engage members.
Use Appreciative Inquiry and other strength‑based tools to engage community members in co‑designing offerings.
Create monthly calendars, website content, and other outreach tools to promote and document offerings.
Participate and engage with the FEC team in learning collaboratives facilitated by ACS with other FEC teams from across the city.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree and three (3) years of professional experience; or a high school diploma and five (5) years of professional experience in community-driven programs working directly with children, youth, and families.
Reside in or near the FEC community, or reside close enough to arrive promptly, in the event of an emergency.
Bi‑Lingual either /Mandarin &/or Cantonese is required.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to warmly connect with and engage children, youth, and adults individually and in groups.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Familiar with the community and its assets and resources, such as other programs, services, supports, local civic groups, and community leaders.
Experience in developing and running a group, a club, or coaching a team preferred.

Perform quality control and basic edits on large batches of archival images using LIMB image processing software.
Review and apply standard image adjustments as needed, including crop/framing, rotation, deskew, brightness/contrast, and other corrections.
Follow file naming conventions and file saving paths according to project specifications
Maintain a log of progress, including batches completed, settings used (when relevant), and any quality concerns.
