Job description
Summary:
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities pertaining to the landscape, renovation, and maintenance of an assigned contract in accordance with company policies, contract documents and governmental regulations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Must be able to drive
Performs a variety of tasks involving manual labor in landscape, irrigation, or enhancement projects.
Performs manual and machinery work in preparing surfaces for paving (Landscape Maintenance).
Maintains a clean job site: picks up all tools and equipment and secures job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
Performs materials handling and storage.
Loads and unloads trucks and hauls and hoists materials.
Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
Cut turf using various sized power mowers, trimming, and edging using a gas-powered edger/trimmer, and operating a gas-powered blower.
Properly and safely prune shrubs and low trees as needed to improve the shape or growth habit or to remove damaged branches.
Lay sod, plant, mow, trim, dig, rake, prune, mulch, sprinkler installation, and load and unload materials.
Plant and maintain flower beds.
Properly and safely operate the edger and line trimmer along sidewalks, flower beds, trees, buildings, fences, and other objects.
Pick up trash and blow leaves and other organic debris on to the turf before mowing. Mulch the leaves and organic matter when mowing.
Perform weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe.
Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with customers
Brings problems to the attention of the foreman, safety director or HR manager.
Must uphold company policies, procedures, and company core values at all times
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
-You must have at least 1.5 years of landscaping experience
-Valid driver's license is highly preferred
