Ship or barge loading and unloading experience preferred
Working knowledge of health and safety procedures
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Valid TWIC Required
Physical Requirements:
Physical work in most weather conditions and around heavy machinery, which can be dangerous at times.
Shift work which may require early mornings, evenings and weekends.
Ability to lift up to 75lbs.

We are hiring several Refrigeration Foreman to work in Slidell, LA and the surrounding area. They will serve as a leader technical resource on assigned projects. This role will perform commercial maintenance, install, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair of refrigeration systems in grocery stores and other commercial businesses.
Lead construction and installation team on refrigeration projects
Follow plans to install new systems and modify existing systems
Work with crew with diagnosing refrigeration systems and performing necessary repairs, piping and installs
Ensure the necessary materials required for the project are on hand and readily available
Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards Support a safe and clean work environment and follow company procedures
Must be flexible - schedule consists of work days, nights and out of town

Provide Refrigeration or Fixtures project support and ensure a timely and quality completion of the project

Requirements
Refrigeration Foreman Job Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
5+ years of commercial refrigeration experience; Supermarket experience a plus
2+ years of refrigeration foreman experience
Knowledge of refrigeration installation, electrical and microprocessor control systems
Knowledge of single systems, parallel rack systems, display cases and walk in boxes
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to locate and repair leaks on racks of single units
Ability to operate smartphone technology, hand tools and power tools
Able to read instructions and blueprints and follow safety procedures
Must have a valid Drivers License & reliable transportation
Legally eligible to work in the US
Pre-employment background screening (criminal, drug screen and DMV) is required for all positions
