The Position 2026 Summer Intern - Discovery Sciences Infectious Disease We advance science so that we all have more time with the people we love. Department Summary Discovery Sciences is the home of Infectious Disease Biomarker Discovery and Experimental Biology at Roche diagnostics. In the infectious disease group we study and unravel complex diseases that are extremely medically impactful currently, and in the future. This group focuses on infectious disease and immunology and is part of initiatives such as global pandemic preparedness, medical innovation, participating in and performing innovative studies with collaborators in multimodal spaces as well as novel method development. This internship position is located in Pleasanton, on site. The Opportunity Immunoassay method development and analysis. Address assay feasibility for NAAT's and immunoassays in innovation project. Learn and demonstrate how to produce, analyze and present data in support of team projects. Have the opportunity to present the findings from the project to Discovery Sciences. Participate in design, development and execution of good science that will inform tomorrow's solutions today. Program Highlights Intensive 12-weeks full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship. Program start dates are in May/June 2026. A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship. Candidates not currently participating on a Disney Program must meet these guidelines: Currently enrolled and taking classes at an accredited US* college, university, or higher education program OR have graduated from an accredited US* college, university, or higher education program within 24 months of the application posting date Must have completed at least one semester at an accredited US* college, university, or higher education program by time of program arrival Meet any individual school requirements (GPA, grade level, etc.), if applicable Be at least 18 years of age at time of application Former Disney Program participants must wait four (4) months after their last departure before applying *US includes all 50 states plus Puerto Rico and all other US territories. Please be aware that you cannot participate in consecutive programs totaling more than one calendar year, including any combination of Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internships A $240 non-refundable extension Program Participation Fee will be collected upon accepting your extension offer. In addition, if you have a registered vehicle here, you will pay a $100 parking decal renewal fee for your extension. If you would like to purchase a new decal for your extension, you will need to pay a $200 vehicle decal fee. You will receive additional communication about when you can purchase a decal via email. Please know that parking decals are limited and available on a first come, first served basis. You MUST have a vehicle pre-registered in DORMS to purchase a parking decal. Please note that if you have already fully accepted an extension in your original role and location, you will not be required to pay another Program Participation Fee No more than FOUR (4) attendance points within the last six (6) months (not including early shift releases or authorized days off); No more than ONE (1) reprimand within the last six (6) months Applicable background or degree in Plant Science, Horticulture, Food Crops, Biology, or related major Minimum grade point average of 2.0 Bachelor of Science in Plant Science or related field Associate's Degree or higher Maintain a high-quality greenhouse show of over 150 hydroponically-grown food crops from all over the globe. Promote the message of sustainable agriculture for Disney Guests through participating in area operations such as insect rearing, biotechnology, hydroponic growing systems and crop research. Participate in trainings, classes and meetings to contribute to the innovation and success of the Living with the Land greenhouse operation and to further individual expertise in the field of agriculture. Propagate, transplant, irrigate, prune and harvest a wide variety of plants. Provide show-quality maintenance and general cleanup: washing, raking, and sweeping greenhouse areas.
