A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A KENNEL ATTENDANT
This part-time position typically works 3 - 4 days per week and has flexible hours.
As a Kennel Attendant, you are fully responsible for the care of our furry friends staying with us. Each day, you're responsible for feeding, walking, and playing with animals in our care to ensure they're happy and healthy. You're also responsible for cleaning and maintaining their living spaces to ensure a sanitary and comfortable environment. Additionally, you are required to interact with pet owners. What You'll Do:
The pay rate for this position is $15.95 per hour.
The Recreation Attendant assists the Recreation Center Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor in the overall management and operation of the facility and recreation programs. Recreation Attendants are considered essential staff and can supervise a facility in the absence of a full-time staff member. Work schedule may include nights, weekends and holidays. Work is performed under regular supervision of Recreation Center Supervisor.
Essential Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Maintains daily attendance records for all registered program participants;
* Plans, organizes and coordinates weekly activities to include field trips, sports, games, crafts, swimming, drama and special events;
* Greets parents and children daily upon arrival and ensures authorized party gets children at departure time;
* Prepares camp area for daily operation, placing tables, chairs, equipment and program materials; Transports campers to daily activity sites;
* Enforces center and camp polices and safety rules and regulations;

Accurately complete all required documentation, including but not limited to, goal completion, actions toward outcomes, incident reports, timesheets, etc. • Complete daily progress notes and communication log to assure appointments, goals, and interests are met. Assist in maintaining all necessary records, daily attendance, check sheets, production sheets, etc. • Assist people receiving services with the day-to-day operation of their home such as housekeeping, meal preparation, laundry, shopping, lawn care, vehicle cleanliness, and maintenance. • Assist people receiving services with knowledge of emergency procedures and personal safety. Utilize effective judgment when dealing with safety issues, including but not limited to fire safety by conducting drills, inspecting equipment, and practicing safety procedures in the community. • Supervise, educate, and monitor (as needed) people receiving services in work settings. Settings may include community, vocational workshops, day supports, etc. • Maintain a safe working environment for employees and people receiving services by practicing safety procedures in the community and on the job. • Substitute in-house or in the community as demands occurs. Sleepovers at residential settings as needed. • Drive and Travel as required. Arrange for or provide transportation to people receiving services as required. • Cooperate with lead staff in developing a schedule, which maximizes the use of hours to ensure efficient use to time and carries out responsibilities in a manner which best meets the needs of individuals receiving services. • Assist new staff and/or current staff with orientation, mentoring, and training.
• Sleepover in a residential setting may be required. • Attend and actively participate in meetings and training as required. Maintain certification in all agency, state and federal training requirements. • Demonstrate knowledge of and comply with all agency policies and procedures, as well as state and federal statutes and regulations related to specific program areas. • Follow service definition guidelines for services being provided. • Complete all other relevant responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.
