Job Purpose: Direct, lead, and partner with the Children's Discipleship Ministry (CDM) team to spiritually nurture newborns through sixth grade children and to equip parents to be the primary spiritual influencers in their homes with the common goal of helping children develop a lifelong relationship with Jesus.
Introduction and Information:
First Brethren Church is seeking qualified candidates to submit their resumes and cover letter with a short bio. North Manchester is located 25 miles southwest of Fort Wayne, Indiana between Warsaw and Wabash. Our small college town has a population of about 8,000 and is a great place to raise a family. First Brethren is an intergenerational church with a worship average around 225, 38 of which are children/infants.
Annual compensation of $45,000+ will be based on education and experience. Additional funds are available for transportation, conferences, and personal ministry expenses. Final salary and additional benefits (healthcare option, etc.) will be determined following interviews.
Scope of Responsibilities:
Attend, check-in with, and support volunteers on Sunday mornings & at Children's Ministries activities.
Lead the Children's Discipleship Ministry team (i.e. monthly meetings).
Recruit and provide leadership development and training for CDM volunteers.
Coordinate teams to plan special events such as Vacation Bible School (70-90 kids), midweek outreach events, holiday programs, and service projects.
In cooperation with CDM, review, recommend, and develop Christ-centered curriculum and policies for children's classes and groups.
Help to create and maintain a Children's Ministry environment that promotes learning and relationship building by being physically, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually safe for all children and volunteers. This includes coordinating background checks and security procedures for the children's ministry.

What you will do: As a Crisis Stabilization Manager at SAFE Passage Indiana, your job responsibility will consist of responding and supporting youth dealing with crisis including but not limited to self-harm, suicidal and aggressive behaviors. The Crisis Stabilization Manager supports and processes through youth's feelings about past trauma and helps the youth to reach stabilization of their behaviors and mindset. You are responsible for evaluating and monitoring youth who have demonstrated suicidal and self-harm ideations/ behaviors. Bashor Children's Home is seeking compassionate and committed Youth Care Workers to join our team. In this role, you'll provide direct care and supervision for youth in a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment. Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for youth.
Supervise and support youth to ensure their physical and emotional well-being.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and implement individualized care plans.
Teach and model positive coping skills, emotional regulation, and life skills.
Lead group activities that support social, recreational, and personal development.
Monitor and document daily behavior, progress, and any incidents.
Respond effectively to crisis situations, using de-escalation and emergency protocols when needed.
Communicate regularly with youth and staff regarding progress and concerns.
Participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuous learning opportunities.
Follow all agency policies, procedures, and professional ethical standards.
Qualifications
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Experience or training in trauma-informed care, behavior management, or therapeutic environments is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to build trust and rapport with youth from diverse backgrounds.
Dependable, calm under pressure, and effective at problem-solving.
Willingness to work a consistent schedule, including rotating weekends and on-call shifts.
Must pass background checks and drug screening as required.
Schedule & Compensation
Full-Time Shifts:
First shift: 6AM - 2:30PM | $18.05/hour
Second Shift: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM | $19.87/hour
PRN (As Needed): PRN Base Rate: $15.45/hour
First Shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Second Shift: 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Third Shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
Weekend Premium: Additional $3.00/hour for weekend shifts
Shift Structure:
Full-time staff on 1st and 2nd shifts work a 4-days-on / 2-days-off rotation
All full-time staff share on-call responsibilities and weekend rotations

Purpose:
The Behavior SupportSpecialistsupports positive student behavior and improves school climate by implementing targeted behavioral interventions and collaborating with teachers, counselors, and administrators. This position strengthens Tier 1-3 MTSS systems, supports both general education and special education students, and helps implement PBIS, CHAMPS, and bullying-prevention programming. The specialist provides ongoing coaching and professional development to staff, ensuring proactive, data-driven behavior practices that promote student success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Coaching and Support
Model and coach evidence-based classroom management (CHAMPS, PBIS, MTSS).
Partner with principals, counselors, and teachers to develop Tier 1 and Tier 2 supports.
Provide training and guidance on behavior management techniques to school personnel.
Assist with data analysis to identify patterns and guide interventions.
Behavioral Intervention
Conduct or support Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and small-group behavioral supports.
Support implementation of restorative practices and de-escalation strategies.
Provide direct interventions and coaching to students demonstrating behavioral challenges.
School Climate and Bullying Prevention
Lead implementation of anti-bullying and social-emotional learning (SEL) initiatives.
Collaborate with counselors and social workers to strengthen student well-being programs.
Support parent education and community outreach related to behavior and wellness.
Data and Systems Management
Coordinate PBIS teams and maintain behavior dashboards (referrals, attendance, SEL).
Maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with relevant policies.
Evaluate and report program effectiveness to building and district leadership.
Qualifications: Education
Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work required.
Master's degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Valid Indiana teaching, school counselor, or social work license preferred.
Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential preferred.
CPI or equivalent crisis-prevention certification preferred.
CHAMPS, PBIS, or MTSS training is strongly preferred.
Experience
Minimum of three years of successful K-8 school experience in teaching, counseling, social work, or behavior support.
Demonstrated ability to facilitate professional development and lead adults in implementing effective behavior interventions and schoolwide practices.
Demonstrated success implementing MTSS/PBIS frameworks and coaching adults.
Proven skills in conducting FBAs and developing BIPs.

The Family Engagement Specialist will report to the Family Engagement Supervisor To provide structured, goal-oriented and time-limited services in the natural environment identified for families (in home, community or in office). This position will provide the following service lines: Supervised Visitation, Father Engagement, and Home-Based Casework,. The Family Engagement Specialist will complete intakes, assessments and ongoing case management services to families referred to Iris Family Support Center by the Department of Child Services and Juvenile Probation. The Family Engagement Specialist will work alongside the family to provide services that support family stabilization and child safety. Evidence-based practices will be utilized to provide trauma-informed office-based, community-based, and home-based services. Family Engagement Specialists maintain an ongoing caseload of active families. The Family Engagement Specialist may be required to testify in court regarding services provided. The Family Engagement Specialist will need to work individually and within a team to assist familiesin completing goals and always maintain child safety.
Essential Functions
Maintain a caseload to meet productivity requirements.
Provide a variety of services to children/families, including but not limited to, the following: crisis intervention, intake/family assessment, safety planning, treatment planning, providing activities/interventions to assist children/familiesin goal completion and aftercare planning to support children/families with reaching self-sufficiency.
Complete certification of Motivational Interviewing within the first 90 days of employment at Iris.
Complete training expectations for the implementation of Nurturing Parenting, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and 24/7 Dads within 12 months of employment.
Provide multiple service hours in the home per week to ensure fidelity to the comprehensive models, a minimum of 50% of the work week will be dedicated to serving families with face-to-face service provision.
Ability to partner and collaborate with referrals sources (courts, DCS, Probation), foster parents, guardian ad litem, and/or CASA Volunteers and colleagues to support the goals of the family.
Provide documentation, including but not limited to the following: assessments, clinical recommendations, progress notes, treatment planning, monthly reports to showcase the work of the family through our services.
Effective implementation of all evidence-based models utilized with children/families by ensuring all fidelity measures are met within the required timeframes.
Utilize customer service strategies to enhance client engagement and satisfaction.
Conduct creative and persistent outreach to enroll clients into services (including, but not limited to, face-to-face visits, drop-by, phone calls/texts, social media).
Complete scheduled appointments within the parameters of the specific program involved.
Establish an emotionally supportive, non-judgmental, trusting relationship with parent(s), using independent judgment and adjusting as needed.
Utilize communication models to describe and address common breakdowns in customer/client interactions.
Independently establish a case plan with goals, objectives and activities with each client, reviewing and rewriting, as well as setting new goals as circumstances change. This case plan will incorporate the needs identified by the referral source as well as the needs identified by the staff and the client. This case plan will guide services.
Assist clients with achieving goals and objectives set forth in case plan within time frame established, incorporate customer/client feedback.
Exercise discretion and judgment in identifying plans of action to achieve goals and objectives, including day-to-day direct contact with clients, government entities, other agencies, and courts.
Advocate on behalf of the client and link the family to additional community resources and services.
Learning and executing the following Evidence Based Practices- Motivational Interviewing, 24/7 Dads, Trust Based Relational Intervention, and Nurturing Parenting.
Complete all required paperwork in various databases within established format and deadlines.
Work within an environment of frequently changing priorities, deadlines, and duties.
Provide client transportation as necessary to complete goals of the program and client case plan.
Assist with crisis assistance as needed, such as hands-on lice treatments.
Teach and role model parenting techniques to the family using approved methods and materials.
Teach home management, financial management, childcare, discipline, nutrition and personal skills as appropriate.
Report any case that may involve “imminent harm” or “threatened harm” to a supervisor immediately.
Attend 8 to 12 in-service training sessions per year and continuously develop skills in customer service and case management.
Meet with supervisor for supervision as required by service standards, department requirements and “best practices” of supervision.
Collaborate with supervisor and team members to implement customer service best practices.
Attend court hearings, case conferences, team meetings, department meetings, and other meetings as required.
Approximately 30% travel is expected for this position. Must be able to travel within all counties in the assigned Region.

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available between the "core" work hours of 8am to 8pm Monday-Friday and 10am to 2pm on Saturdays and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in human services, Social Work, Education or directly related field.
One year of full-time experience in home management, home maintenance, and/or child-care.
Experience working with families/parents/children in a human service organization is a preference.
Life or job experience caring for children.
