Required skills in enhancing and manipulating photography for visual impact. Nice to have experience in video production, motion graphics, and animation.     The Construction Project Design Intern reports to the Construction Project Engineer and is primarily responsible for assisting the Construction Project Engineering and Design team by performing a variety of design, development, production, permitting and maintenance tasks. Job Description Olsson's Rail Signal experts provide clients with a single resource for services such as traffic signal preemption design, grade crossing safety design, traffic operations studies, and other related services. The Rail Signal team focuses on providing crossing and wayside signal design services for the Rail Sector. As an Experienced Designer for the Rail Signal team, you will provide overall technical expertise to the design staff. You will lead quality assurance/quality control and act as an advisor on complex projects. You will direct and manage project staff on technical aspects of projects including coordination with all disciplines involved on projects. Primary Responsibilities: Perform intermediate- to advanced-level design while working under minimal direction and supervision Select and recommend design approaches as well as prepare preliminary designs for engineering staff Execute a range of advanced drafting and design responsibilities, including performing calculations, revising drawings, identifying material requirements, and evaluating project specifications Provide training or act as a mentor for less experienced staff May attend client meetings We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Omaha, NE office location.
