Summary:

Global Atlantic's base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Associate degree in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related technical field; significant applicable experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
3+ years of drafting/trade experience in metal fabrication, machining, mechanical assembly and/or electrical assembly within field/academic environment
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)
Proficient in 3D CAD mechanical design and layout of products (Solidworks preferred)
Experience with ASME Standards, ISO 9000, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and Tolerance Analysis, Design for Manufacturing and Assembly, manufacturing processes and inspection requirements
Effective communication skills, including excellent oral and written skills
Ability to manage both daily and weekly tasks with appropriate feedback to manager on work level and deliverable timing
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment to propose new ideas and work with others' ideas
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Minimal travel may be required to Cranston headquarters and/or local vendors, customers, etc., a few times per year
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related technical field
5+ years of Solidworks Experience (3D Models, 2D Drawings, Product Data Management (PDM) Vault, etc.)
Certified Solid Works Professional
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience in metal working (cutting, machining, welding, etc.) and/or HVAC industry
Work Environment
This position works primarily in an office environment using computer and technology. Verbal and auditory capability are required. Occasional exposure in production plant where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.
This position reports on-site for all scheduled shifts.
Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.Salary range$60,258-$78,336 USD
