I love the job duties and being able to help people who have disabilities. Each staff can make a difference.

The hourly wage is very low. I have been here for six years and make less than $13 per hour. That includes yearly raises. I started at $11 per hour, so a less than $2 per hour increase over six years is a bit tough. Many of my coworkers qualify for Medicaid or other low cost insurances because we don't make much per year. Fast food workers make more than most staff here.

My coworkers are great, the residents I support are nice and I like accruing paid time off, plus paid holidays.
