Thoroughly knowledgeable on menu, food preparation, beer, liquor and wine programs. Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of bar/lounge, back hallways and liquor storage areas. Greets guests in a timely and professional manner, makes suggestions regarding food and beverage, checks regularly for guests' needs and answers any questions or concerns. Monitors guest alcohol consumption and does not serve alcohol to intoxicated guests. Performs “bar flair” while preparing cocktails and other drinks to standard, and builds guest relations by with patrons seated at the bar. Monitors and observes guests' dining/bar experience in order to respond to additional requests and to determine when meal/beverage has been completed. Maintains liquor security and control standards. Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes and practicing prudent portion control. Input and control ordering through register during each transaction maintaining accountability as well as receipts to guests for all beverages served. Frequently check back with and entertain guests. Prepare bar for next shift, bringing all fruit and supply levels back to par. Sell tokens for gaming machines. Maintain cleanliness of guest areas at all times to include removing empty glasses/bottles and cleaning ashtrays.
