Bartender Responsibilities Provide courteous, prompt service to our guests Prepare beverage orders for bar and dining areas, adhering to signature recipes Understand the steps of service and consistently execute them with efficiency and grace while maintaining a sense of urgency throughout the service Be a menu expert, educating customers on our food & drinks menus, making recommendations based on their preferences, up-selling special items and taking orders. Seek opportunities to inform guests about additional offerings when applicable Responsible for entering guest orders accurately into POS system (Toast) Communicate guest requests, including dietary restrictions, to culinary staff Ensure guests are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Effective and timely communication to all FOH/BOH team members throughout the service Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards) Prepare all menu items to standard, serving quality beverages and dishes to our guests Ensure excellent maintenance of the bar and dining room Maintain a positive, outgoing demeanor during service, with guests and co-workers Be safety-conscious to promote the safety of oneself, co-workers and guests at all times Check that restaurant equipment, including brewing equipment, is operating properly and report any maintenance needs Interact with genuine and patient hospitality when speaking to vendors and guests; cultivate relationships with regulars Able to multitask and cover multiple FOH roles depending on the demands of the business, including but not limited to Barista, Cashier, Food Runner, Bar Support Help food preparation staff when necessary.
