Appointments are scheduled based on your availability. * Travel to a customer's home on a pre-set appointment using a company vehicle. * Build long-term relationships with customers and professionally represent Groundworks. * Recommends additional products and services to enhance or improve original installation or remedy a potential issue, by following the sales process. * Perform yearly maintenance visits, examining work previously completed. * Perform reactive service appointments, diagnose, and fix any issues. * Install the additional products purchased by the customer as necessary. * Adhere to safety/health regulations and procedures when carrying out construction operations. * Examines work done by the company and determines potential warranty or non-warranty work. * Communicate the status of each job (completions and complications) and submit all necessary documentation to the Service Manager. * You may be required to assume other tasks or responsibilities not detailed on this list which may be requested from time to time at the Company's discretion.

As a Plumbing Service Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, assembling, installing, and repairing equipment as needed for each service call. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Handles correspondence by treating the customer with respect at all times, answering any questions they may have Maintain/repair equipment: operate, clean regularly, and recommend to management maintenance needs for any equipment that you cannot fix. Report any broken equipment to owner immediately Evaluate service call problems/installations and repair in a timely fashion. Troubleshoot cause of operation errors and decide appropriate action Complete work orders, including name, address, phone and date of service. List all merchandise, machines used, and hours of labor Ensure work orders and other hand-written items are legible for other employees Report any merchandise that needs reordered to the office Put your unused material back on the shelf when you return from the job Reading, understands, and applies plumbing codes Operate and maintains powered industrial equipment and hand tools Applies safety in the work environment and has knowledge of implementing policies Be capable of working with a wide range of piping systems and materials used in the plumbing industry. Examples include, but are not limited to; Multiple types of PVC, ABS, CPVC, Copper, cast iron, steel and stainless. Be proficient with various methods of joining pipe. Preferred Education - High School diploma, completion of or enrollment in a recognized apprenticeship program, OSHA 30 or 10, and ability to obtain med gas certification. Preferred Experience - 3+ years in the plumbing industry. Working knowledge and/or willingness to learn the use of computers, tablets, and smart phones. Basic skills in Microsoft products is helpful. Physical Demands and Work Environment Performing the essential functions of this job will require, but are not limited to, the ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, ladders, and negotiate work areas under construction in adverse weather conditions. Work may be performed in ditches and elevated work platforms. Vision abilities required to perform this job included close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to wear approved eye protection. The person must have the ability to hear bells, alarms, whistles etc. Performing this job requires the use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools and/or controls. You will be required to sit, walk, talk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The individual will be exposed to loud machinery or equipment, fumes, airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. This employee must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and without assistance. Candidates for this position must possess a valid driver license and reliable means of transportation. A 40-hour work week is standard and overtime, when needed, is expected.
