The DMPK Intern will support drug discovery and development efforts by gaining hands-on experience in ADME-PK characterization within a collaborative research environment. This is an onsite internship. Candidates much be able to work in person at the South San Francisco office. Responsibilities Complete all required laboratory safety and technical training necessary to support summer research activities within the DMPK department. Conduct a comprehensive review of scientific literature relevant to the assigned project and summarize key findings to inform experimental strategy. Collaborate with the project sponsor and DMPK team to finalize study design, ensuring alignment with program objectives and scientific rigor. Execute initial laboratory studies using bioanalytical methodologies, applying principles of chemical and biological stability and assay development. Analyze and interpret study data in partnership with the sponsor, discussing learnings and next steps throughout the internship. Prepare and deliver interim project updates to the DMPK team, including slide development and active participation in scientific discussions. Compile, analyze, and present final study results to the DMPK department and broader company audience at the conclusion of the internship. Participate in regular 1:1 meetings with the sponsor to review progress, receive feedback, and support continuous learning and development. Prepare and deliver a final presentation summarizing research findings. Qualification Have completed two to four years at a US college or university at the time of the program. Seeking a BS/MS/PhD degree or a career in fields related to the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., biochemistry, drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, analytical chemistry). Experience in general laboratory techniques, organic chemistry, biochemistry, and general laboratory safety practices required. Prior experience in analytical chemistry, liquid chromatography, or mass spectrometry preferred. #LI-ONSITE Pay Range: In the U.S., the hiring pay range for fully qualified candidates is $25-$35/hr.
