Position Summary: We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Foreman to lead and work alongside a crew of carpenters and laborers. Complete necessary documentation and reports, including daily activity logs, time sheets, and incident reports. A list of completed projects will be requested prior to an interview. Qualifications/Requirements: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; preference will be given to candidates with additional vocational training or certification in carpentry or construction management. Ten (10) to 15 years of experience at a construction company, with at least three (3) years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety practices particularly in steel and wood stud settings. Proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and construction documents. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team. Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently under pressure, as a team, to meet tight deadlines. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required. Job DescriptionSalary: As a Commerical Flatwork Foreman, you will coordinate with the Superintendent/Supervisor to ensure that the work is progressing according to plan and on schedule. You must be a consistent and dependable asset to your team in your attendance and performance. (You are expected to set the example for your team.) The Foreman role will be supervising, completing the work and leading, directing, and training the team. Hours are variable though can change due to outside factors including job scheduling and weather conditions. Work with Project Manager/ Superintendent/ Supervisor to study, interpret, and apply blueprints to projects. Inspect job site/project before leaving to ensure completion, quality, cleanliness, and complete customer satisfaction. Determine daily work schedules to ensure the project is completed within the timeline, communicate with other team members/customers if timelines change. In this role you will oversee, coordinate and schedule the activities of construction technicians, inspect work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met. This includes supervising a team of workers, ensuring quality standards are met, coordinating with project managers and subcontractors, and ensuring safety protocols are followed on -site. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in concrete work, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of construction methods and techniques. Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight: Lead and manage the concrete crew, ensuring that all work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to required specifications. Supervise the pouring, leveling, and finishing of concrete on projects, such as foundations, walls, sidewalks, and other structures. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project plans to ensure all specifications are followed accurately. Quality Control: Monitor the quality of concrete materials and ensure proper mixing ratios, placement, and curing. Conduct on -site inspections to ensure that work meets required safety and quality standards. Identify potential problems or issues in advance and resolve them effectively to minimize project delays.
