About the Role:
As a Belt Foreman, you will perform various tasks related to underground conveyor belt maintenance, installation, operation and support. The Belt Foreman will work closely with supervisors and other team members to maintain a safe work environment while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
* Supervise the installation, operation, inspection, and maintenance of underground conveyor belt systems.
* Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company safety regulations and policies.
* Plan and schedule work activities to maintain optimal performance and minimize downtime.
* Conduct regular inspections of belts, rollers, drives, and related components to identify and address potential issues.
* Train, mentor, and oversee belt maintenance personnel to promote skill development and adherence to safety protocols.
* Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to develop preventive maintenance schedules and improve system performance.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
* Respond promptly to belt system breakdowns and coordinate necessary repairs to minimize production interruptions.
* Monitor inventory levels and order parts and supplies as needed.

Who You are:
* Valid Alabama Mine Foreman Certificate.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in underground coal mining, including belt maintenance and operations.
* Demonstrated leadership experience in a supervisory role.
* Comprehensive knowledge of underground conveyor systems, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
* Familiarity with MSHA regulations and compliance standards.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

* Walking ability will be based on SCSR emergency evacuation plan required and approved by MSHA.
* Must be able to wear the required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHA.
* Must be able to bend or stoop for a full work period because of mine height.
* Must be able to climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on and off equipment and ladders.
* Must be able to do repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have quick reflex movements of the arms and legs as well as good hand to eye coordination.
* Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally lift items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Position Overview

plays a critical leadership role in safely planning and executing construction activities. Qualifications

Technical Skills: Proficient in interpreting blueprints and specifications, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and using construction tools and equipment. Strong knowledge of fabrication and installation processes in heavy industrial environments.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, set clear goals, and drive results while fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with crews, project teams, and clients. Bilingual is a plus.
Certifications: Valid drivers license required. OSHA 30 certification (or ability to complete upon hire). Rigging, NCCER, or related credentials preferred.

Position Overview
At JGM, the General Foreman plays a critical leadership role in safely planning and executing construction activities. Qualifications
* Experience: 7-10 years of industrial construction experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
* Technical Skills: Proficient in interpreting blueprints and specifications, troubleshooting mechanical systems, and using construction tools and equipment. Strong knowledge of fabrication and installation processes in heavy industrial environments.
* Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, set clear goals, and drive results while fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
* Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with crews, project teams, and clients. Bilingual is a plus.
