This role is essential in maintaining project timelines and quality standards while fostering a safe and productive work environment. In addition, you will have comfortable living accommodations and the option of staying in either a paid hotel or furnished apartment for the duration of the project!

What you'll do
Read and interpret blueprints, project plans and schematics to understand project scope and requirements.
Manage subcontractors and supervise a crew of electricians effectively to optimize productivity.
Order and coordinate delivery of material
Conduct regular job walks and site inspections to monitor progress and ensure work is completed correctly
Comply with all documentation requirements and fill out all project related reports, such as: Daily Reports, Safety Reports, Inspection Reports, 2 & 3 week look ahead schedules
Audit safe work practices, ensuring PPE is available and used properly.
Assist superintendent in employee evaluations
Communicate with project managers and clients
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with NEC codes and Title 24 requirements
Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance skills and performance.
Qualifications
Valid CA General Electrician License
Graduate of a state approved apprenticeship program a plus
Ability to interpret specifications and read blueprints.
3-5 years' experience in electrical sub-contractor supervision
At least 8 years of experience in commercial and mixed-use buildings
OSHA 30
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Moderate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and use of hands and arms to operate equipment. Must have a strong sense of balance and no fear of heights. Must be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs.

Job Duties
What You'll Do:
* Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
* Safely and productively lead a crew in providing arboricultural care for our clients.
* Including but not limited to:
* Jobsite Hazards, Obstacles, Plan, Equipment (H.O.P.E) process
* Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
* Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
* Removal of hazardous trees
* Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
* Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
Qualifications
What We're Looking for:
* Love of the outdoors
* Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
* Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
* Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates
* Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist , ISA Certified Tree Worker , and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Civil Works Site Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The position is based in Oakland, California.
Job description:
Reporting to the Construction Manager will ensure the construction of the civil works and the permanent way within a complex environment such as the modernization project of BART Subway.
This position will provide during the development of the project, the technical assistance, supervision and coordination of the construction and installation works and testing of the civil works and permanent way and any other related construction works under operational condition and engineering hours of the Subway . Will supervise the decommissioning and recoveries works for the existing equipment of the Subway.
Examine the work progress issued by subcontractors, under his/her control, before submission to the Construction Manager.
Support the Construction Manager to detect changes regarding the design and plan and provide inputs to engineering for as built drawing.
Ensure the quality of the works (e.g. compliance of the works according to the project design and specifications), will produce and implement the quality control plan related to the works under his/her responsibility.
Take over the work from other Parties (e.g. civil partner or subcontractor, Client etc..) checking their compliance to the design before allowing the Electromechanical installation.
Verify and approve the construction and installation test packages issued by the contractors and subcontractors.
Ensure the preliminary survey and asset information of the Subway existing conditions. Will perform the surveys required to verify the interfaces and the conditions required for the installation of the systems.
Will supervise and support the Construction Manager for the mobilization, installation and demobilization of the site temporary works, offices and facilities.
Ensure the execution of construction activities in compliance to the planning. Will verify, prepare and update the detailed planning in coordination with subcontractors and the Construction Manager. Report to the Construction Manager of delays for activities under his/her control and propose remedial actions.
Will verify and report the progress of the work and the resources employed in site.
Ensure the compliance on site of the rules foreseen by the HSE Management plan, for the works under his/her responsibility.
Will produce the method statements, risk assessments and relevant Work Package Plans, and will review and verify the construction documentation. work package plans and planning issued by subcontractors.
Ensure the optimization of the resources (internal and external/subcontractors) in the project on site, having as baseline the project budget and planning.
Agree with Construction manager and develop site specific plans to be implemented in projects program and budget.
Liaise with Customers /Authorities /Contractors/ Partner/Subcontractors for site and/or materials takeover and/or handover. Provide input to the Supply Chain planner for the expediting of the deliverables by matching the requirements of the construction and installation schedule.
Ensure the continuous updating and improvement of processes and procedures.
Accountabilities:
This position requires a deep knowledge and experience in the supervision of construction works in one or more of the following railway technological systems, preferably carried out in metro systems and brown field conditions in Civil works.
Eight to ten years' experience as civil work engineer for thin supervision and management of installation works in new or existing projects.. Advanced knowledge of applicable local laws and rules required. Advanced knowledge of railway standards and codes required.
Experience in management and supervision of construction of civil railway works, railway station and depot buildings construction and permanent way, preferably in brown field conditions. Experience in issue and review of subcontractors design and documentation, resolving all technical issue on site, production and review of method statements, and work package plans, interface with other disciplines including power and systems.
Experience in utilities investigation and relocations, surveys and ground investigations.

The salary range for this position is $112,000- $168,000. Final pay is determined by the candidate's experience, skillset and ability level, internal equity and location.
