Summary:
The House Supervisor RN provides leadership and oversight of nursing operations during shifts to ensure quality care, patient safety, and smooth hospital functioning. This role encompasses staff supervision, patient flow management, crisis intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and hospital operations.
Essential Work Functions:
Supervise and support nursing staff during shifts, ensuring efficient patient care and adherence to hospital policies
Coordinate and monitor patient admissions, transfers, and discharges to maintain optimal patient flow
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, addressing deviations promptly
Adjust staffing levels in response to patient acuity and census, ensuring appropriate coverage for all units
Respond to emergencies and provide leadership during critical situations, ensuring patient and staff safety
Collaborate with department leaders, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to address hospital-wide operational needs
Serve as a resource for staff, patients, and families, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts professionally

Utilize electronic health records and incident reporting systems to document and communicate operational activities
Lead emergency preparedness efforts, ensuring readiness to respond to disasters or large-scale events

Overview
The Crew Leader serves as a lead for a crew of workers and provides training for crews in construction, sanitation, facilities, parks and recreational centers, water management departments, aviation, and other City of Dallas infrastructure, supporting large or complex projects, coordinating assignments, reports, equipment, and inventory.
Essential Functions
1. Organizes, prepares, and issues daily work assignments for crewmembers or other workers; ensures work procedures are followed safely and efficiently and work is completed properly.
2. Works, engages, and collaborates with crewmembers; sets the pace of work and delegates appropriate assignments; provides on-site job and safety training and explains or demonstrates proper, safe, and efficient work methods; obtains required information or decisions from supervisors as needed.
3. Ensures all plans, materials, tools, and supplies are available for crewmembers; keeps, maintains, organizes and reports records of expenses, work orders, schedules, and attendance of daily activities.
4. Performs and/or leads preventative maintenance and minor repairs to equipment; checks for cleanliness and readiness of tools and equipment.
5. Assigns clean-up activities, maintenance work, and general activities around the work sites, facilities, and buildings to ensure premises are clean and safe.
6. Drives City trucks to transport workers, materials, and equipment to and from jobsite.
7. Handles citizen complaints or concerns to facilitate prompt and efficient solutions; interacts with community and residents to provide excellent customer service, educate on tree benefits, parking regulations, emergency situations, updates them on lawn and tree maintenance, responds to concerns, and provides other relevant information in a prompt, timely, and efficient manner.
8. Supports City of Dallas in emergency situations, serves as an on-call response member for storm events to keep rights-of-way and parking lots open, and remove storm damage debris from the city buildings, vehicles, and other amenities on public property.

Minimum Qualifications
Experience
Four (4) years of experience working with variety of machines and equipment in a large municipality or complex infrastructure, performing general labor in various trades is required. Experience in supervising or leading a crew is highly preferred.
Licenses and Qualifications
* Commercial Driver's License Class A with good driving record for Forestry, Code Compliance, Parks, Public Works, Traffic Signals, Water Distribution, Water Quality and DWU Stormwater.
* Class B Driver's License with good driving record for Facilities, Landscape, Maintenance, Wastewater Collection and Sanitation.
* Movement Area Certification for Aviation is required.
* Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) License for DWU may be required.
* Other leadership certifications or endorsements highly preferred.
Education
High School Diploma or GED.
Equivalency
* Six (6) years of relevant experience and ten (10) years of combined education will fulfill the education and experience requirement.
* For the divisions with the Commercial Driver License A requirement, in the absence of the CDL A, applicants with the CDL B will be considered with a condition to obtain CDL A within the probationary period.
Other Requirements
* Subject to working in inclement weather conditions.

Organizational Mission The Appalachian Trail Conservancy's mission is to protect, manage, and advocate for the Appalachian National Scenic Trail. Under the supervision of the Regional Manager, the Crew Leader is responsible for implementing Trail and related facility construction, reconstruction, and land management projects. This position manages and motivates trail crews, which consist of crew members and/or volunteers. The Crew Leader is responsible for behavior management and fostering positive crew morale through consistent teamwork. This position will provide collaborative leadership for the crew, ensure safety procedures are followed and communicate with partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Implement Trail construction, reconstruction, and maintenance projects in cooperation with A.T clubs and partner agencies.
Determine logistical needs in advance to ensure that appropriate tools, equipment, materials, and other necessary resources are available to complete assigned projects.
Ensure volunteer and/or staff trail crew members are trained in and implement best practices in Trail design, construction, reconstruction, and maintenance according to ATC and land managing agency standards.
Ensure safe and sanitary conditions at field camps and work sites, transport crews safely, and respond appropriately to any emergency situations that may arise.
Promote an atmosphere in which all crew members feel welcomed, motivated, safe, and included, and where participation and contributions from all are valued and appreciated.
Follow the direction of designated supervisors with respect to duties, logistics, timetables, projects, submit biweekly timesheets, weekly hour and project reports, and perform other duties as assigned.
Ensure purchases of food, supplies, gear, and materials follow ATC's financial procedures.
Travel on foot over rough terrain and for long distances while carrying equipment in possible inclement weather.
Assist Basecamp Coordinator with volunteer transportation, volunteer basecamp orientation, routine camp maintenance or other duties as scheduled or required.
Qualifications
Two or more seasons of front/backcountry camping or working outdoors.
At least one season of trail crew leadership.
At least one season of experience in building/rebuilding trails: constructing new sidehill, stone steps or cribbing, log steps or cribbing, improving drainage, addressing erosion, etc.
Ability to manage and be responsible for all aspects of a trail crew.
In good mental and physical health, ability to hike up to 10 miles per day in steep, mountainous terrain.
Commitment to ATC management and resource protection efforts.
Proven ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to effectively communicate with individuals, groups and partners.
Ability to live independently and work in a remote area with minimal supervision.
Strong hiking and outdoor experience.

Crew Leaders lead by example as onsite supervisors/coaches for groups of 3-5 team members.

Keep the crew on task and working as a team.

Working Conditions
Must be comfortable working safely at all times while in an active fabrication shop environment
Shop Foreman/Lead to employ strict supervision of tasks to be completed by assembly team
Must maintain a clean and safe work area and adhere to zero-injury culture
Tasks assigned may include but are not limited to:
Lifting not to exceed fifty pounds
Cutting/grinding, welding and other hot work activities
Use of several types of saws on various materials
Use of drill press/various hand operated drilling equipment
Use of various pipe threading equipment (1/2”-6”)
Use of conduit bending equipment in various sizes and styles (1/2”-4”)
Lifting/rigging of heavy components (Work with overhead crane)
Equipment operation as needed.
Special Requirements
Valid PA Driver's License with ability to travel to job sites as needed
Background checks, screenings, and physicals
Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards
Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance

Experience reading and interpreting electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications while adhering to electrical codes
Experience leading a team of electricians and assigning required daily tasks
Tracking manpower for specific tasks and assuring efficient execution
Job -site management ensuring the proper materials are onsite to perform the scope of work required to be completed
Successful completion of projects within scheduled deadlines and budgets
Strong communication with the onsite supervisor and other trades
Requirements
7+ years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical projects
Must have 3 plus years of experience leading a team of electricians
Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor, and detail oriented
Must have a valid driver's license
Capable of reading and interpreting drawings and schematics
Working experience with Fire Alarm systems and other low voltage installations
Experience bending and installing RMC, IMC, and EMT required
