Danella Companies, Inc. is currently hiring for a Gas Foreman located out of our Corporate Headquarters in Plymouth Meeting, PA.
A foreman is required to perform construction labor and supervisory duties. As a foreman you will need to have complete supervision of the jobsite field operations which include, daily production, quality control, equipment maintenance and labor/subcontractor management. This also includes having proficient safety skills, quality workmanship and a trustworthy reputation to provide the utmost degree of value in every task that you perform.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises construction crew, rendering hands-on assistance.
Ability to manage large projects with 5 or more employees on a crew.
Responsible for completing required paperwork on a daily basis including but not limited to: daily timesheets, as-builts or service cards, daily production reports, traceability documentation.
Complete all daily paperwork including timesheets, field as-builts, tailgate talks, safety logs, and production reports as required.
Train crew members in accordance with company safety policies
Serve as single point of contact with customers, inspectors, subcontractors and vendors performing work in the field.
Supervise the daily operations in accordance with job specifications and customer requirements while continually monitoring site for changing safety conditions and related issues.
Monitor progress of crew to ensure satisfactory job completion, keeping construction progress in line with overall project schedule and cost estimate.
Oversees all work is compliant with installation standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education Preferred: High school diploma.
Experience Required: Proficient knowledge of gas installation techniques and standards
Preferred: Three (3) years of field experience as a foreman, valid driver's license with a clean driving record, excellent communications and interpersonal skills, minimum five (5) years gas-pipeline construction and replacement experience, strong interpersonal, team-oriented skills. Must be operator-qualified or able to obtain OQ.
Special Knowledge/Skills Required: Proficient knowledge of gas installation techniques and standards, attention to detail, organization skills, management skills, and the ability to read and draft blueprints (as-builts).

Keep trash picked up and site as clean as possible throughout the day, and clean up well at the end; ensure the trash is picked up, tools are accounted for, ground does not have excessive tracks or gullies, driveway is cleaned, and all dirt has been properly raked. Think about the customer coming home and look for what he/she might see that could have been done better.
Analyze each job and think through questions like, "How could I have led the crew more efficiently? What could I do on the next project to continue to improve our customer satisfaction?"
Turn in all receipts to the office.
As a foreman, all the work performed on the job, whether you did it or not, is your responsibility. Ensure that your crew members performed the work as they should have. You should be the one taking the last walk around the fence and property looking for problems. When you find problems with crew members' work, always inform them of the problem and show them how to correct it so it will not happen in the future. Additionally, you are responsible to make sure that you are installing the product according to the customer's direction and our contract.

Review material deliveries brought in by subcontractors and verifies them against approved submittals and contract documents. Tracks delivery log.
Communicates internally and externally as requested by project team. Prepares notes and photos to subcontractors for various reasons, i.e. confirm phone conversations, request information, document issues, verify delivery dates, etc.
Routine photographic documentation of progress onsite. Files accordingly. Follows QC labeling requirements
Supervises workmanship onsite to ensure installed work is in compliance with drawings and specifications and meets Warfel standards. Performs inspections of installed materials or assists site supervisor with review and completes documentation of QA/QC reports.
Performs completion lists and punchlist documentation for site close-out activities as reviewed with superintendent and project team.
May be required to work with their tools to help install work.
Other duties as assigned.

How You'll Contribute:

Perform layout for self-performed work, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Monitor and meet established productivity rates, submitting weekly reports to the project team.
Coordinate staffing needs with the Carpentry Superintendent, preparing manpower projections.
Review construction documents, ensuring a good understanding of self-perform scope and adjacent work.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION HVAC FOREMAN
This is skilled foreman work in directing the installation, modification, and repair of HVAC and related systems, equipment, and fixtures. This individual is responsible for planning, laying out, participating in, and supervising HVAC work on job site. The employee works with considerable independence, where some technical supervision is provided.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION HVAC FOREMAN
Plans and lays out work from oral and written instructions; assigns and supervises the work of HVAC personnel engaged in the installation and repair of HVAC system.
Estimates job labor and materials, requisitions materials, supplies, and equipment.
Conducts regular inspections of work in progress and on completion; participates in the more complex HVAC tasks.
Confers with officials on proposed HVAC projects and makes recommendations. Recruits and trains skilled and trades helper personnel.
Establishes safety and work performance standards for subordinates. Performs related work as required.

We are currently seeking a Foreman to join our Award-winning growing team. This is a full-time labor-intensive role with an opportunity to progress within the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage varying Construction Projects and crew sizes through all phases of the building process.
Complete projects on time and under budget.
Ability to work within a pressured environment and cope with intense project deadlines.
A positive, can-do attitude is a must.
Report progress to the Superintendent and Project Manager.
Attend weekly meetings.
Order materials as required.
Maintain a safe work environment, reinforcing a 'safety first' attitude with the team. Care for tools, equipment, materials, and job site.
Inspect subordinate's work for compliance with the contract plans and specifications, point out deficiencies and explain and take any corrective action needed.
Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Masonry Foreman - 5 years minimum
Able to meet all physical requirements.
Must have all required tools.
Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft).
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
Must possess strong working knowledge skills and abilities for position.
Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
Team player, and goal oriented.
Adaptable to varying projects.
Strong management and interpersonal skills with problem solving ability.
Proficient in the safe and efficient use of electrical, hand tools, power tools and layout tools as well as measurement tools
Ability to read and interpret specifications, sketches and/or blueprints as they pertain to masonry work.
Utilize excellent organizational skills; keep a daily log, time sheets and fill out tickets.
Understanding of heritage masonry skills and techniques is a plus.
Experienced in Brick, block, concrete, and stone repair/replacement, stucco, EIFS and other Historic Masonry.
Experienced in waterproofing, caulking/sealant, and deck coatings.
Layout Experience is helpful.
Current Driver's License
Background check required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
OSHA 30 Certification, Swing Stage Scaffold Certification, High Reach Operator Certification
Provide direction to and resolve problems amongst subcontractors and vendors.
Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution.
Historic Restoration Certificate provided by I.M.I.
Endurance and ability to visit the entire job site, including stair swings, scaffold, high reaches, or other elevated structures.
