We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations of our facility. The Maintenance Manager leads and manages R&M operations including but not limited to PM program, equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, parts stock & supply, capital and CI projects to enhance plant efficiency, utilities management and maintenance team management. This role requires knowledge and expertise in equipment maintenance, supplier management, project execution, financial analysis, and operational optimization Key Responsibilities · Lead the maintenance team to comply with Harris Spice's Safety Program to develop an accident-free safety culture. Act as HS Safety Champion · Lead the maintenance team to maintain the equipment and the facilities in optimum condition. Plan and coordinate the PM program for all the equipment in the plant. · Partner with the Production Manager to achieve the expected OEEs for the Production lines by making them run efficiently and continuously at the expected speeds. · Provide directions to the mechanics to support the manufacturing of finished goods produced safely and on time according to the Production Schedule, within the expected quality and at the budgeted cost. · Collect and analyze data to identify causes for deviations to the Maintenance Operations Plan, proposing actions to achieve the expected goals. · Lead the planning, execution, implementation, and maintenance of CI and Capital Investment Projects to improve Operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for CAPEX projects aimed at automation and efficiency improvements. · Work closely with the engineering team to design, develop, and test equipment for CAPEX projects. · Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, parts procurement, and CAPEX project details · Identify and source the necessary parts and components for equipment maintenance and repair. Negotiate pricing, lead times, and payment terms with part suppliers. ·Prepare and deliver the yearly R&M Operations Budget. Manage and control R&M expenses to keep costs within budget. · Follow, promote, and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Standards. · Develop and manage contractors and vendors in accordance with Company's policies and procedures. · Support the Sustainability and Environmental Programs within Harris Spice Facilities. · Propose, implement and administrate R&M's KPI's. · Coordinate work done by external contractors. · Define the critical parts stock and maintain the minimum and maximum inventory for the equipment parts and supplies. · Follow and enforce personal safety procedures and escalate to management. · Other duties as assigned. · This describes just some of the main duties, activities and responsibilities for the role which may change at any time with or without prior notice. Requirements and Qualifications · College degree in science, business, or engineering field. · 5+ years of experience in maintenance and plant engineering management, equipment procurement, and projects management in a high-speed automated manufacturing operation. Minimum 2 years of experience in food, pharmacy, or consumer goods. · Demonstrated experience and success in the implementation and management of process efficiency metrics · Proficient in MS Office and any Maintenance Management Software. · Strong understanding of Food Safety Systems (GMP, HACCP, BRC or SQF). · Proficient with safety systems / programs and OSHA requirements. Certification in OSHA 30 hrs. . Excellent leadership skills with prior supervising experience in a technical environment. .Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. .Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while managing multiple projects simultaneously. · Bilingual English Spanish is a plus. Physical Requirements Sit, use hands & arms, twist, bend, push or pull Ability to lift objects weighing up to 55 lbs; Work is performed both indoors and outdoors and is exposed to various weather conditions. What You'll do as a Maintenance Manager * Directs maintenance activities and support for 7/24/365 operations. Respond to emergency maintenance calls as needed and must be available for contact on troubleshooting or issues that cannot be resolved by Maintenance staff. * Establishes and promotes the Preventive Maintenance Program for the facility, and reviews effectiveness. Analyzes unplanned downtime, develops corrective actions and establishes a proactive plan using the department's CMMS to reduce or eliminate future occurrences and promote continuous improvement. Evaluates the effectiveness of, and makes necessary adjustments to, regularly scheduled preventative maintenance tasks. Plans and coordinates resources for any unplanned repairs of the equipment. Ensures all paperwork for planned and unplanned equipment maintenance is completed properly and entered into the department's CMMS and filed as per audit requirments. * Strives for continuous improvement by analyzing new or alternative ways to improve operations; incorporates staff recommendations into analysis; responds to audit activities in a constructive manner and uses findings to improve operations using predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
