INTRODUCTION
The Spokane Station MaintenanceManager will be responsible for the supervision of aircraft maintenance performed at GEG facility and be responsible for facility and equipment upkeep. Will be responsible for communication between Empire Fleet Managers and GEG Mechanics regarding maintenance activities. This position is also responsible for the development and supervision of maintenance standards, personnel, and equipment required to implement maintenance activities at GEG. This position is expected to work on the aircraft a minimum of 25% of the week.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise Maintenance personnel in accomplishing maintenance, repairs, scheduled checks, and ground handling of the aircraft.
Assure parts rooms are kept up to the standards as described in Empire's manuals.
Responsible for maintaining facility and ensuring ground equipment is clean, safe, and in good condition.
Responsible to conduct required facility audits as directed by DOM.
Ensure that all Maintenance paperwork is accurate, complete, and the required signoffs are properly made.
Determine that work is properly accomplished and aircraft airworthiness is determined to be in accordance with established Company policy, manufacturer's manuals, and FAA requirements.
Work closely with Planning, 121 Fleet MaintenanceManager, and 135 MaintenanceManagers to ensure scheduled maintenance is completed on time. Coordinate schedule maintenance with Planning and Technical Records.
This position is expected to perform work on the aircraft a minimum of 25% of the week.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A&P Mechanic with five years of experience with aircraft craft and two years supervisory experience. Must have excellent communications skills, both oral and written, have a valid driver's license with insurable record through Empire's policy. Must adhere to the Company's FAA/DOT required Drug and Alcohol Program.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed primarily in an office environment with travel required. Will be exposed to noise and hazards associated with a hangar. Requires standing, walking, sitting, bending and stooping for extended periods of time. May be required to lift up to 20 pounds. Requires manual dexterity, speaking, seeing and hearing to conduct business.

This position will be responsible for leading the Plant's Maintenance operations, including all machine, fixtures, material handling vehicles and facility operation. · Manage overall operations of the Maintenance department and assists with the development and coaching of the maintenance staff.

· Works as the key liaison with other team members and Production departments to help minimize machine downtime and failure rates, as well as maximizes equipment productivity.
· Uses Lean Manufacturing and other Continuous Improvement methodologies to optimize work processes, adapt maintenance tools and procedures to improve equipment utilization and reliability, and minimizes service quality incidents.
· Works with OEM support to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues.
· Gather and interpret data from our APM system to recommend pathways to reduce downtime and cost of operations.
· Identifies and captures opportunities for improvement in equipment maintainability and reliability.
· Identifies internal and external property conditions and communicates with internal departmental staff or outside resources/vendors to ensure property upkeep is maintained and improved.
· Keeps current with the latest technology and maintenance methods of current and future equipment being used in all production facilities; stays informed of safety standards from organizations that affect business.
· Performs other miscellaneous administrative duties as needed (including but not limited to ordering supplies, assisting with timecards, scheduling of work and overtime, audit process support, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance position.
· Previous experience with metal fabrication industry, mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly experience is desired. Metal CNC maintenance a plus.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong electrical / mechanical background required.
· Strong computer skills such as Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), and the ability to quickly learn other computer programs used in the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department.
· May occasionally be required to travel to other facilities to participate in maintenance activities.

Hire, train, develop and manage all maintenance department employees.
Assist in the management of Capital Projects

The position will be hands-on in the repairs and maintenance of the facilities infrastructure and the equipment. Responsible for supervising the maintenance and facilities team in effectively minimizing downtime through preventative and predictive maintenance activities, establishing plans and scheduling through effective communication with plant leadership and peers. Managingmaintenance and repairs cost through internal efficiencies and vendor relationships will be critical.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
· Manage overall operations of the Maintenance department and assists with the development and coaching of the maintenance staff.
· Supports the Production Managers in planning equipment preventive maintenance activities and initiates repair activities for equipment that needs urgent or immediate attention.
· Works as the key liaison with other team members and Production departments to help minimize machine downtime and failure rates, as well as maximizes equipment productivity.
· Uses Lean Manufacturing and other Continuous Improvement methodologies to optimize work processes, adapt maintenance tools and procedures to improve equipment utilization and reliability, and minimizes service quality incidents.
· Works with OEM support to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues.
· Gather and interpret data from our APM system to recommend pathways to reduce downtime and cost of operations.
· Identifies and captures opportunities for improvement in equipment maintainability and reliability.
· Identifies internal and external property conditions and communicates with internal departmental staff or outside resources/vendors to ensure property upkeep is maintained and improved.
· Keeps current with the latest technology and maintenance methods of current and future equipment being used in all production facilities; stays informed of safety standards from organizations that affect business.
· Performs other miscellaneous administrative duties as needed (including but not limited to ordering supplies, assisting with timecards, scheduling of work and overtime, audit process support, etc.).

QUALIFICATIONS
· Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing maintenance position.
· Previous experience with metal fabrication industry, mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly experience is desired. Metal CNC maintenance a plus.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong electrical / mechanical background required.
· Strong computer skills such as Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), and the ability to quickly learn other computer programs used in the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department.
· May occasionally be required to travel to other facilities to participate in maintenance activities.
· Knowledge of PLC's, CNC machinery, electricity, hydraulics, pneumatics, and other common manufacturing disciplines are required.
· AutoCad or 3D Software experience a plus
· Previous experience working in an ISO or TS certified facility desired.
