**Job Description:**
**_About the Role:_**
As a MaintenanceManager, you will be a key player in providing leadership and strategic direction for the production maintenance group, at the Hanover, PA, plant, a manufacturer of quality pretzels.
This role will provide maintenance leadership to deliver a world-class operation. Lead, motivate, and develop employees to achieve outstanding manufacturing results, while leveraging Continuous Improvement (TPM) tools, improving individual skills, and enhancing teamwork.
**_You'll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:_**
+ Playing a leading role in ensuring a safety-first culture through actively supporting the site's health and safety program in addition to ensuring that all Food Safety and Quality guidelines are followed.
+ Responsible for leading the maintenance department as the Plant Progressive Maintenance Pillar leader.
+ Driving standards and consistency across the maintenance department. Function as a technical and business resource in areas of system operations and production requirements.
+ This position requires considerable interaction with plant floor personnel, leadership team, engineering, external support, and vendors.
+ Supports the role of Project Manager for annually allocated capital budget to help grow business, improve operational efficiency, and improve site infrastructure and support site safety and quality projects.
+ Providing coaching, training, feedback and mentorship to maintenance technicians, coordinators, and admin staff.

+ This is a full-time, on-site role on first shift. Occasional flexibility is required to support alternate shifts.

+ Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is preferred.
+ Five years or more in a technical management or supervisory role within food manufacturing industry is required.

+ Experience in creating, executing, and monitoring manufacturing technical standards and procedures.
+ Knowledge of lean and six sigma techniques and tools are an asset.
+ Experience in the use of a computerized maintenancemanagement system (CMMS) to successfully run a maintenance department; knowledge in SAP Plant Maintenance a plus.
+ Demonstrated problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills.

The BAE Systems Combat Mission Systems site in York, Pennsylvania is seeking a 1st Shift MaintenanceManager I to support operations. This position will directly manage a team of up to 2 MaintenanceManagers and 15 USW Bargaining Unit Employees of various trades including Electrical, Mechanical, and other operational support roles. This individual will prioritize, manage, and execute work orders, including PM's, with internal and external resources. This role will operate on a 9/80 working schedule with alternating Fridays off. Rotational weekend coverage may be required, as needed. As a MaintenanceManager I, you will:
Manage 2nd and 3rd shift MaintenanceManagers. Meet with off shifts daily to communicate priorities and activities for shift turnover.
Manage union multi-craft bargaining unit personnel in the timely and effective preventive and corrective maintenance of heavy manufacturing machinery.
Responsible for shift Maintenance Bargaining Unit craftsmen worktime management including timecard verification, vacation requests, disciplinary action, paygrade advancement, training, tools, vehicle usage, and work schedules.
Brief leadership daily on priorities and activities associated with production machine downtime and bargaining unit crafts status.
Work closely with Operations, Planning & Scheduling, Quality & Manufacturing Engineering to coordinate TPM related work and planned downtime for machine calibrations and preventive maintenance to ensure minimal impact to production.
Review employee work for quality, accuracy, and completeness. Close out work orders and maintain system data as needed.
Coordinate outside vendors to contract expertise for machine calibrations and repair when needed on off shift operations.
Maintain EAM, databases, and process documents to ensure appropriate asset management of all production equipment.
Champion continuous improvement projects to improve efficiencies and capabilities.
Responsible for individual and direct reports development plan.
Oversee all maintenance activities to ensure a safe work environment in compliance with regulatory and company policies

Work Schedule:

Requirements
Prior leadership experience in a maintenance or production environment.
Strong technical (running to specification), mechanical, and troubleshooting skills; electrical and pneumatic experience preferred.
Strong drive to “get it right”, ensuring repairs, maintenance, and projects meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Ability to train and motivate team members toward shared goals.
Proficient in reading technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.

Five years or more in a technical management or supervisory role within food manufacturing industry is required.
Strong knowledge of electronics, controls, mechanical and electrical components found in food manufacturing machinery as well as proper safety standards for food production equipment.
Experience in creating, executing, and monitoring manufacturing technical standards and procedures.
Knowledge of lean and six sigma techniques and tools are an asset.
Experience in the use of a computerized maintenancemanagement system (CMMS) to successfully run a maintenance department; knowledge in SAP Plant Maintenance a plus.
Demonstrated problem solving, leadership, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and maintenancemanagement software.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Regional Engineer is expected to possess a high level of property maintenance knowledge and provide support to all hotels within the company.
The Regional Engineer will be involved with the recruitment, hiring, and training of maintenance personnel at individual properties. Additionally, providing ongoing coaching and support for their professional development.
Ensuring that maintenance staff at each property adhere to both the property-specific and brand-wide standards for maintenance and upkeep.

Managing the procurement process for third-party vendors who provide services or supplies related to property maintenance.

Offering expert advice and guidance to Maintenance and General Managers on various mechanical systems and building maintenance topics, including equipment like pool packs, rooftop units, and boiler systems.
Ensuring that the exterior of the buildings and the surrounding grounds are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing.
Ensuring that all life safety systems, including elevators, fire safety, and sprinkler systems, are functioning correctly and meeting safety standards.
Monitoring guest satisfaction scores and addressing any issues related to property-level maintenance that may impact guest experiences.
Implementing energy-saving measures and sustainability practices to reduce environmental impact and operational costs.
Being flexible and responsive to additional tasks or responsibilities as needed.
Ensuring that General Managers effectively communicate current programs and procedures related to maintenance to their staff.
Ensuring that the properties consistently achieve high brand Quality Assurance results, including passing inspections and audits conducted by local, state, and other authorities.
