This individual must be capable of using electrical instrumentation to repair machinery and install new equipment to specifications. This position is a critical to the maintenance department to provide timely and safe repairs on equipment. This position is primarily 2nd or 3rd shift after training is completed on 1st shift. Candidates must be willing to work overtime as necessary.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Test electrical systems (electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures) using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, meggers, or oscilloscopes to ensure proper state.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with code.
Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of the breakdown and correct the problem.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment or fixtures.
Advise management on whether continued operation of the equipment could be hazardous.
Dependable with good verbal and written communication skills.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of industrial electrical experience (preferred).
A two-year degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Technology (required).
A passing grade on an Okonite general electrical aptitude test (required).

Ensure the overall safety, appearance and maintenance of the facility in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and
Local requirements at all times
Supervises/Monitors work of department supervisors/personnel
Establishes an effective preventative maintenance program and a priority system for unscheduled maintenance
Ensure that safety committee meetings are held regularly, with complete and accurate documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
Must have at minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D
Minimum of 3 years diverse construction or maintenance related experience in a supervisory capacity
Must be knowledgeable various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems; HVAC certification a plus but not required
Must have knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
Maintenance experience in long term care strongly preferred
Reliable transportation required
