    Medical assistant externship job in Royston, GA

    The purpose of this position is to assist the practice and doctors with a wide variety of different clerical, as well as clinical duties. This will be a full-time position and will consist of 40-45 hours per week with working hours starting from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday. Medical Assistant duties and responsibilities will include: Working in the front office and taking care of tasks such as answering phone calls, completing insurance forms, making appointments, assisting in telephone follow-up with the patient as directed, and greeting patients. Scheduling hospital, and laboratory services, and assisting with billing. Updating and maintaining all client records Recording patient information such as vital signs, weight, and changes in medical history prior to each appointment Cleaning and preparing examination rooms prior to patient appointments for cleanliness of equipment condition. Assisting the office manager in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed.
