Job Description
The MedicalAssistant provides direct patient care and clinical support within an outpatient clinic. Responsibilities include obtaining vital signs, reconciling medications, collecting patient history, and facilitating patient flow.
Additional duties involve managing the electronic health record (EPIC), scheduling appointments, processing medication requests, handling prior authorizations, and coordinating tests and procedures.
Upon successful completion of clinical competency, the role may also require performing EKGs, lab tests, injections, and/or phlebotomy. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to ensure efficient patient care and support for providers.
Qualifications:
A minimum of one year of experience in a medical office, clinic, or similar setting is required. This experience must include direct, hands-on patient care in a clinical setting, such as obtaining manual vital signs, documenting patient history and medications, and performing clinical procedures (e.g., EKGs, phlebotomy, administering injections or vaccines). A combination of relevant experience and formal medical-related education may be considered to meet this requirement.
Upon hire, all MedicalAssistants will undergo a clinical competency assessment and must successfully complete MA orientation. Those who do not meet the required standards will be enrolled in the MedicalAssistant (MA) Trainee Program for further development and reevaluation.

TEAM LEADER PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Team Leader serves as the on-site departmental supervisor, monitoring daily functions of their team to ensure optimal workflow. Job Description:
Other duties as assigned. Travels as needed to fulfill staffing needs and support clinic operations. Stays up to date and familiar with all policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational standards. Maintains education requirements for the position and demonstrates competency through annual clinical competencies and written tests. Ensures efficient office flow by preparing patients and equipment for treatment, initiating testing, and documenting results in the practice's designated system. Maintains OSHA regulatory enforcement and other office compliance, following safety processes and policies. Provides whole care to patients during office visits, including intake, test results, screenings, labs, medication administration, and closure of care gaps. Maintains confidentiality of employees' and patients' administrative and medical information. Supports staff teamwork by assisting patients, visitors, and co-workers when necessary. Performs clinical intake according to policy and procedures, including screenings, history taking, vital signs, and medication reconciliation. Assists with minor procedures associated with specialty and ensures accurate documentation at the time of service or results. Educates patients regarding tests, medications, and diet, providing clear and accurate instructions. Monitors and manages inventory, ensuring adequate supplies and functioning medical equipment.

Notes on Qualifications:
The employee is required to obtain a medicalassisting certification (CMA, CCMA, or RMA) from a nationally recognized organization within 90-days of hire if not certified at time of hire. Continued maintenance of this certification is required for this position.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High School education or GED.
Medical / Dental Assistant experience preferred.

Must have completed and passed a two-step Tuberculosis (TB) Skin Test.
Hepatitis B vaccination is preferred.
Must have state radiation license or certificate.
Must have good computer skills and medical terminology experience.
Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be able to follow directions and listen to needs of patients and doctors.
Physical Demands:
Requires full range of body motion including manual and finger dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Requires standing, walking, pushing and stooping on a periodic basis. Frequent lifting requirements vary depending upon specialty division hired for. (Dental: 50 pounds or more.) Must be able to push patients in wheelchair. Requires corrected vision and hearing to a normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
