RESPONSIBILITIES
Hospital Corpsmen (HM) assist health care professionals in providing medical care to Navy personnel and their families. Assist physician in medical, cosmetic and laser procedures
Assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, biopsies, cultures, photos, prescriptions, prior authorization and procedures within established guidelines
Understand provider to patient flow and anticipate provider's next steps to the best of their ability
Prep rooms before and after patients, including checking all equipment at the beginning of each shift to ensure all is in proper working order
Provide pre-care and post-care treatment instructions as needed
Daily scan all retail and cosmetic products and medical supplies and alert Head MA and/or GM of any low level supplies
Perform inventory responsibilities and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested
Attend all in-house training and continued education opportunities
Qualifications
Dermatology experience required
Healthcare experience required
Nationally Certified MedicalAssistant preferred
Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems
Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Excellent patient relation and customer services skills
Open availability to work during weekdays and weekends
Hourly Pay Rate: $19 - $24

REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with current registered nursing licensure in New York
A minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a nursing home.
Demonstrates competency to teach adult learners as evidenced and documented by at least one of the following:
Completion of a professionally recognized course in teaching adult learners or
New York State Education Department teacher certification;
Two years of experience teaching nursing or nursing related programs to adults in an academic setting approved by the State Education Department or other recognized accrediting body; or
Two years of experience teaching nurse aides in a residential health care facility.
Communicate orally and in writing with residents, families, staff and the public.
