Dr. Baunoch is the co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Pathnostics. Prior to Pathnostics, he was the President at Combimatrix Molecular Diagnostics, Vice President of Lab Operations and Research & Development for US LABS, and Director of New Product Development at Ventana Medical Systems.

He has also served on the faculty of several colleges and universities. He was the Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at The University of Chicago, Director of Immunohistochemistry and Special Procedures Section at The University of Chicago Hospitals, and Director of Core Laboratory University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Baunoch is widely published, with over 25 peer-reviewed publications. He has been involved in the development of over 500 laboratory-developed tests and holds a number of patents for diagnostics tests and instrumentation.

Dr. Baunoch received his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics from Wayne State University and completed an NIH Postdoctoral Fellowship in Breast Cancer Research at the Michigan Cancer Foundation.

Lukas Pieter is an experienced Finance leader having served as CFO at Pathnostics, Navican Genomics, LePort Schools, and Faribault Mills and Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at GenMark Diagnostics. Lukas also gained strategy consulting experience while at McKinsey & Company where he developed growth, organization, and turnaround strategies and implementation plans for major companies.

As an Investment Banker with Lazard Middle Market (previously Goldsmith Agio Helms), Lukas performed sale, restructuring, and valuation of companies. Lukas earned MBA from Columbia Business School and BS in Finance from the University of Economics, Prague, Czech Republic.
