Familiar with and able to safely apply with the National Electrical Code and other local safety codes, policies, and procedures.

Able to perform electrical construction projects and repair.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with troubleshooting Allen Bradley and Delta V Control Logix PLCs.
Experience with AC and DC drives in fan, pump, and conveyor applications.
Ability to set up AC and DC drives.
Experience with HMI touch screens.
AutoCAD.

What this job involves
As a Journeyman Maintenance Electrician, you'll be responsible for maintaining critical electrical systems and equipment in our manufacturing and utilities operations. This role focuses heavily on industrial electrical systems including medium-to-high voltage substations, switchgear, Power Logic systems, variable frequency drives, and hazardous location electrical equipment. You'll work in a Reliability Maintenance environment supporting both manufacturing operations and utility systems, ensuring all work complies with company standards and government regulations (SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM). Your expertise will be essential in keeping our plants, utility systems, buildings, and equipment operating safely and efficiently.
What your day-to-day will look like
Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, assembly, repair, and proactive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
Conduct preventive maintenance on medium-to-high voltage substations, motors, explosion-proof systems, generators, and building control systems
Inspect, analyze, and plan major equipment repairs using root cause failure analysis
Monitor equipment conditions closely and perform maintenance activities according to procedures and cGMP standards
Provide customer training on system implementation and compliance requirements
Serve as a maintenance advisor on engineering projects including process design, material selection, and problem-solving
Work with industrial 3-phase systems, medium voltage distribution, and control systems in hazardous classified locations
Participate in multi-craft work activities and collaborate across teams
Respond to priority calls and make critical maintenance decisions
Work in various conditions including confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and elevated platforms
Required Qualifications
High school diploma/GED plus associate degree or relevant trade school equivalency
State of Michigan Electrical Journeyman's License OR completion of journeyman program

Annual Base Salary for newly appointed BPAs varies per grade, as follows:

Duties and Responsibilities

Make sound judgments and decisions in the use of firearms.
