This position will work with maintenance to ensure appropriate operations/maintenance 'handshakes', PM program adherence, training/knowledge sharing; communicate and redirect maintenance efforts to meet quality and productivity goals. Develop and implement systems to improve production efficiencies that are sustainable and repeatable.
Essential Functions
* Must constantly focus on improving line performance, limiting downtime, improving changeover time on all lines. Ensure mechanical knowledge is communicated to all techs and operators as needed.
* Develop and deliver effective briefs, reports, meetings. Attend all inter-department meetings each day to coordinate plans, complete any required safety items, cross train employees, ensure GMP and SQF compliance, verify QC checks on running product, verify all line checks are being performed, and complete visual observation of running product.
* Understand and know the short-term as well as long-range goals and targets for production and how they tie to the daily/weekly/monthly production plan.
* Continual monitoring and updating of SOP's as needed.
* Plan and execute effective line startups, ensure cleaning on all equipment is maintained, plan new product runs effectively.
* Implement the Production Department training matrix to maintain an accurate record of employees in need of training. Document expert knowledge and develop training program around that information. Track effectiveness of training thru weekly evaluation form. Certify each employee has completed training and are fully qualified and periodically validate.
* Lead meetings with employees at the end/beginning of a shift (debrief) communicating needed information for the business flow.
* Lead on projects to include but not limited to capital improvements on production lines and support systems, new product runs, packaging or container changes to existing products, consumer complaint issue investigations, line issue investigations including six sigma tool uses.
* Will also attend safety meetings and lead process improvement teams to generate ideas to improve efficiencies on the lines or any topic so designated.
* Develop plant operations knowledge of the main support systems needed to run an effective plant. Knowledge of the major pieces of support equipment that are essential to running the plant and impact of problems with these systems.
* Must communicate clearly with team what is expected and monitor performance and address inefficiencies thru coaching and positive motivation and/or formal disciplinary action, if required.
* Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
* Undergraduate Degree in an Engineering related field (or equivalent experience) plus four (4) years experience in a production and/or engineering environment required.
* Strong leadership capabilities in a fast-paced production environment required.
* Previous experience in the food/beverage manufacturing industry preferred.
Position-Specific Skills:
* Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, & Outlook) with the ability to learn new applications as required.
* An understanding of operational electrical and mechanical systems is a plus. Troubleshooting and Lean Manufacturing experience required.

Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Aseptic Block Equipment, such as filling and blow molding machines, sterilizers, and filtration systems. Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls. Be alert to the alarms and act quickly to adjust equipment to prevent unnecessary downtime.
Perform routine equipment maintenance, which involves cleaning, inspecting, and lubricating (CIL) the Aseptic Block Equipment. These routine activities will be performed under Maintenance Technician supervision to maintain good equipment performance.
Follow Quality Control Niagara's procedures for in-process checks, sampling, and inspections to ensure product quality and compliance. Perform visual inspections, measurements, and other quality control tests to identify deviations or defects and take appropriate corrective actions. Position Description
The Production Manager is responsible for driving and managing the production process and associates at the facility while maintaining efficient production in desired quality and quantity. Develops and leads the Plant Production team in exceeding key performance indicators for safety, environment, quality, customer service and cost. Builds and develops a strong team of decision makers and our organization's next leaders.
Essential Job Functions:
* Adhere to and ensure compliance to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and PPE requirements.
* Adhere to and ensure compliance to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF).
* Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination.
* Provides training, direction and instruction and conducts performance evaluations.
* Provides guidance and training on work standards and expected outcomes.
* Accountable for planning and evaluating performance, staff training and development, recruitment and may contribute to pay recommendations.
* Conduct daily meetings as required with direct reports to identify and resolve issues.
* Collaborate closely with all departments to improve quality, drive efficiencies, increase yields, and eliminate out-of-specification or damaged products. Foster a positive team environment to promote cooperation and teamwork.
* Possesses a practical understanding of SQF and HACCP and can address inquiries related to both.
* Ability to read, comprehend, and adhere to a production manufacturing schedule, effectively communicate issues or deviations with the appropriate parties and respond to inquiries.
* Ability to mobilize resources and lead efforts to reduce unscheduled downtime.
* Follow all Quality Control and Production line standard operating procedures.
* Perform minor machine maintenance as well as daily and weekly preventive maintenance.
* Conduct required GEMBA walks through the plant.
* Supports and encourages a culture of Refresco Values.
* Develops strategies focused on energy and waste minimization.
* Participates in the development of the annual department budget & strategic long-term planning
* Develop and communicate business results as required.
* Support Safety Committee with their goals to promote a strong safety-focused culture.
* Perform as back up to the Operations Manager as required.
Required Skills:
* Proven leadership experience in a high-speed beverage production environment preferred. Ability to independently and efficiently operate and troubleshoot required manufacturing equipment.
* Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadline pressure.
* Organized and detail oriented, adaptable to change.
* Proficient in Excel, Word, SAP and Power Point.

Education and Experience:

* Functional experience in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM, etc. are assets.
Working Conditions:
* Work Schedule: Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evenings, overnight and holidays may be required.
* Work Environment: Operating in a fast-paced production plant with numerous moving parts. Noise levels require hearing protection and temperatures can get very hot and/or relatively cold. The environment is structured and supervised, with clear production targets and schedules to meet.

Aseptic Production Operator II - VTISAs an Aseptic Production Operator II, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of aseptic manufacturing processes and equipment. You will focus mostly on the Aseptic Block Equipment (Blowmolder, Filler, and its peripherals devices). You will play a crucial role in maintaining sterile conditions and producing high-quality beverage products. As a senior production team member, you will also provide junior operators guidance, training, and support.
Key Responsibilities
Execute aseptic manufacturing processes in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). This includes preparation, setup, operation, and monitoring of aseptic blowing/ filling, cleaning, and sterilizing the aseptic block equipment. Knowledge about Chemicals used in the Aseptic Block Equipment and their critical interactions (GHS & SDS).
Overall knowledge about Aseptic Production, such as basic concepts about Microbiology and pH, Low Acid and High Acid Products, and causes of sterility loss.
Monitor all the Aseptic Block equipment Critical Control Points (CCP), using a Human Machine Interface (HMI), to ensure the final product sterility is maintained. Identify and address potential contamination risks and work with your Supervisor and Quality/ Maintenance Teams to mitigate/ eliminate them.
Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot Aseptic Block Equipment, such as filling and blow molding machines, sterilizers, and filtration systems. Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls. Be alert to the alarms and act quickly to adjust equipment to prevent unnecessary downtime.
Perform routine equipment maintenance, which involves cleaning, inspecting, and lubricating (CIL) the Aseptic Block Equipment. These routine activities will be performed under Maintenance Technician supervision to maintain good equipment performance.
Follow Quality Control Niagara's procedures for in-process checks, sampling, and inspections to ensure product quality and compliance. Perform visual inspections, measurements, and other quality control tests to identify deviations or defects and take appropriate corrective actions. Responsible for testing Torque, Top load, Bottle Section weights, and Cleaning/ Sterilization Chemicals concentrations (ability to perform Titrations)
Responsible for accurately documenting all production activities, including Production Logs, Machine Reports, Quality Reports, and Downtime Reports, using software such as Presage and Infinity. Adhere to cGMP guidelines and regulatory requirements to maintain compliance with Niagara's Quality Systems and external regulatory bodies.
Maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols such as Lock out Tag out (LOTO), wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), Housekeeping and participating in safety training programs. Report any safety incidents, near misses, or hazards to your Supervisor.
