The EHS Technician reports to the EHS Manager. #LI-Onsite KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Coordinates and oversees environmental, health & safety policies, procedures, training programs testing and other assessment programs. * Ensures that the environmental, health & safety program is organized, documented and complies with OSHA, EPA and other local, state and federal regulations. * Surveys, compiles, and analyzes data relating to occupational and environmental health issues. * Responds to various State environmental agency inquires about hazardous waste materials and environmental conditions at the Northlake site. * Ensures that all injuries and illnesses are thoroughly investigated, properly reported, and related documents are ready for possible litigation. * Obtains or assists in obtaining environmental permits or other government regulatory approvals or licenses. * Ensures compliance to environmental, health & safety training regulations. * Continuously improve the facility environmental, health & safety program, culture and incident rate. * Assists other Scholle facilities with environmental, health & safety issues, as needed. * Builds trust and rapport with site personnel and provide high level of service to stakeholders. * Assembles and leads safety committee and/or safety planning committees. * Be an advocate and contributor to a culture of safety. * Performs other duties as assigned.
