Oversee and lead food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance programs at SK Food Group operational sites.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Facility designee for SQF Practitioner and PQCI.
Implement, lead and drive a food safety and quality culture for the assigned facility. Lead HACCP/Food Safety/Quality teams.
Develop, manage and maintain the food safety and quality assurance programs including but not limited to: SQF, HACCP/Food Safety Plan (s), SOP's, SSOP's, and Pre-Requisite programs, sanitation verification (pre-operational inspection) and customer specific requirements.
Lead and manage 3rd party audits, GFSI Certification Audits (SQF Food Safety and Quality), and customer audits.
Oversee environmental microbiological sampling program, and ensure it meets all corporate, customer, and regulatory requirements (USDA and FDA).
Administer training and oversee competency performance of personnel in the Quality Assurance Department.
Manage specified customer product cutting process for compliance with customer specifications.
Oversee Quality and Food Safety Monitoring activities for program and regulatory compliance.
Execute SQF plan to maintain Food Safety and Quality certification. Serve as primary site contact for SQF, federal, state, or county audits. Manage all aspects of the 3rd party audit process including correspondence and corrective actions.
Ensure SK Food Group meets or exceeds all regulatory compliance obligations (FDA, USDA, State, labeling, weights and measures, etc.). Actively communicate with on-site USDA inspectors to ensure compliance with all regulations.
Manage the “Hold and Release” programs including physical inventory and virtual Inventory through the ERP system.
Work closely with R&D, Commercialization and Corporate Food Safety Quality Manager on all pilot runs to include data collection and analysis, MPS (manufacturing processing specification) development and Finished Good specification development.
Execute daily sanitation verification of pre-operational inspection and production floor release.
Execute trace exercises of product flow functionality within the ERP System (Sage X3). Ability to account and submit all required mock recall documentation to corporate QA leadership.
Execute QA (Plant level) functionality within the ERP System (Sage X3).
Manage 3rd party pest control firm.
Manage departmental budget.
Oversee the supplier non-conformance supplier program at the plant facility level.
Manage investigations, responses and corrective actions for plant quality complaints.
Recommend capital expenditures for food safety and quality assurance improvements.
Other duties as assigned.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, Quality Management, Microbiology (or equivalent/related field) and at least sixyears of related experience and/or training in a food or food related industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

PCQI (FSMA) certification
Strong skills in communication, problem solving, decision-making, prioritizing work, and organization.

Job Description
Manage and coordinate all aspects of quality assurance activities with various levels of risk and complexity within a variety of scopes across a single site. Confirm requests for quality support from the site and communicate policies and procedures. Proactive liaison with customer for quality assurance across site(s). Develop, manage, and oversee site quality resources. Support regional and sector QA and Regulatory Compliance initiatives, as required. Manages, plans and coordinates both the Quality Assurance and Quality Control programs designed to ensure production and release of products that consistently meet customer expectations. Lead quality support for 250+ suppliers with 5,700+ SKUs.
Partner with Supply Chain to evaluate and develop suppliers for any component (fabrication, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, etc.) with the goal of increasing flexibility and reducing lead time.
Define inspection requirements (test reports, certifications, FAIR, PPAP as appropriate) for critical purchased parts and assist in incoming inspections.
Alongside Sourcing, define the supplier quality lifecycle including supplier qualification, ongoing performance measurements (defects, OTD, responsiveness), and exit plans. Contribute to supplier scorecards and prioritize supplier improvement efforts.

New Product Development (NPD) & Design Quality

Support customer complaint intake from Service. Drive field failure analysis and warranty trend reviews for purchased components and maintain feedback loops with Engineering and suppliers.

Develop and refine quality procedures and standards to support business growth.
Utilize 3D optical metrology (Keyence) for first-article, in-process, and final inspection. Manage storage and traceability of scan-to-CAD comparison data and dimensional reports.
Ensure calibration and traceability for all key inspection, gauging, and process instruments.
Use existing systems (SAP ByDesign and other tools) to record NCM, scrap, rework, and customer issues in a consistent way.

Mesa Associates, Inc. is seeking a Nuclear Quality Manager to lead our nuclear quality assurance team supporting engineering design work for our commercial and government nuclear customers requiring DOE, NQA-1, and/or 10CFR50 Appendix B compliance. This role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing Mesa's Nuclear Quality Assurance Program, with a focus on design-related quality requirements, supplier interfaces, and regulatory compliance. This role will utilize leadership and management capabilities, as well as detailed knowledge, understanding, and experience in the functional and practical application of quality requirements, industry codes, guidelines, and regulations. The Nuclear Quality Manager will also actively support and demonstrate leadership traits that advance Mesa's nuclear safety culture, while supporting our strategic growth in commercial and government nuclear projects.
This position is part of an independent Quality organization and works closely with engineering, project management, procurement, and suppliers. It is also part of a broader Quality team that supports multiple Quality programs across the company. Success in this role depends on collaboration, sound judgment, effective leadership, strong management, and clear communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Nuclear Quality program and collaborate with the Nuclear Business Units to develop, update, and maintain clear, usable quality procedures, templates, and guidance supporting nuclear design and related activities.
Provide program oversight to help ensure quality requirements are understood and applied consistently.
Support engineering and project teams by clarifying quality expectations related to documentation, records, and compliance
Verify required activities are carried out in accordance with internal procedures, external regulations, and applicable customer requirements.
Coordinate with document control personnel to ensure nuclear design documents and quality records are properly identified, maintained, and retrievable.
Support supplier quality activities as needed, including audits, surveillances, or site visits based on project scope and risk.
Manage the qualification and selection of potential suppliers; establish and verify acceptance criteria for purchased items and services.
Provide oversight of Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) activities, including review of plans, documentation, and technical evaluations.
Plan and support internal audits, surveillances, and management assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of the Nuclear Quality Assurance Program
Oversee and manage the Nuclear Corrective Action and Lessons Learned Programs; support investigation and resolution of quality issues; and conduct root cause analysis for higher-severity nonconformances to drive corrective actions and process improvements.
Obtain and maintain NQA-1 lead auditor status.
Facilitate, develop, provide, and encourage appropriate company quality training and maintain the training program to meet regulatory and customer requirements.
Report to Senior Management on the status and effectiveness Mesa's Nuclear Quality Assurance Program; serve as a quality point of contact for internal teams, customers, and suppliers; promote a Nuclear Safety Conscious Work Environment; and maintain a professional standard of conduct in all communications.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or related field from an accredited college or university (preference is in an engineering field of study)
Minimum education requirement may be met by having seven plus years of pertinent nuclear-related experience (commercial nuclear, DOE, Navy Nuclear, engineering, etc.).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering in a commercial nuclear, government nuclear, or research nuclear-related and highly regulated environment.
Detailed knowledge and experience applying 10CFR50 Appendix B, 10CFR Part 21, 10CFR Part 830, ASEM NQA-1, and applicable DOE Nuclear Quality requirements, preferably in a design, engineering, or supplier oversight setting.
Understanding of Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) requirements.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documents.
Technical writing experience with the ability to write clear, understandable procedures and guidance.
Strong written, verbal, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to take appropriate action in support of customer and project requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college or university.
NQA-1 Lead Auditor or equivalent certification (or ability to obtain).

JOB SUMMARY
Supports and implements manufacturing quality systems for an assigned customer, supplier, or product line.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Sets and monitors SPC data to ensure delivery of consistent quality from suppliers or to customers.
2. Sets standards for determining non-conforming materials and scrap review.
3. Follows-up and responds to customer concerns with regards to quality.
4. Plans and coordinates PPAP documentation and submissions.
5. Assists with PFMEAs and APQP activities.
6. Performs 8D's and manages control plans as needed.
7. Develops gauging and controls calibration schedules of the measurement instrument.
8. Assists in the development of standardized work processes and process improvements.
9. Assists in the implementation of ISO and TS initiatives.
