Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manager Software Quality 1. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You'll Get To Do:
Lead Software Quality and Mission Assurance functions within the Sentinel Digital Ecosystem (DE) segment to ensure mission success
Perform technical reviews as required including CDRLs, test plans, test procedures, etc.
Support DE Segment review boards and review of associated packages including Technical Review Board, Change Control Board, Risk & Opportunity Management Board
Ensure execution of Sentinel SQA & MA tasks in compliance with Program, Division, Sector, and Company processes.
Support allocation of personnel to the DE to ensure the segment has sufficient mission assurance coverage.
Support preparation and execution of Root Cause & Corrective Actions (RCCA). Develop and maintain Quality scorecard Metrics.
Support preparation of the Program Review packages.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant professional experience OR Master's degree, and 3 years of relevant profession experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)

Primary Level Salary Range: $104,500.00 - $156,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. About the Role
ASI is seeking a Validation Manager to lead the testing and validation of autonomous robotics software and hardware systems. This role is responsible for overseeing Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), System Acceptance Testing (SAT), and system integration test plans in both simulated and real-world environments. This is a hybrid position that requires three days (Tuesday through Thursday) on-site.
The Validation Manager will lead validation professionals, including Field Testers and QA Engineers, while working cross-functionally with engineering, software development, and production teams to ensure products meet strict quality and reliability standards. This role requires a deep understanding of validation methodologies, hands-on test execution, and the ability to refine testing processes over time.
Job Duties
Validation Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and System Acceptance Testing (SAT) plans to validate ASI's robotic automation systems.
Assist with system integration test plans, ensuring validation covers hardware, software, and end-to-end system performance.
Oversee manual validation efforts while identifying opportunities for future automation to improve efficiency.
Validate onboard and offboard systems in production-like environments using Mobius and ODOA systems.
Testing & Compliance
Utilize industry-standard validation methodologies such as black-box testing, regression testing, stress testing, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
Conduct failure analysis, identify root causes of system issues, and recommend improvements.
Ensure compliance with relevant ISO and IEC standards for robotics and automation software.
Maintain detailed validation documentation, including test plans, defect reports, and regulatory compliance records.
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead a team of Validation Engineers, Field Testers, and QA Engineers, ensuring alignment with project goals and business unit needs.
Work cross-functionally with engineering, software, and production teams to improve validation workflows.

Position Description: Responsible for planning, coordinating and developing the project-specific Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Plan that incorporates the policies and procedures necessary to deliver the project fully compliant with the contract documents. Manage, supervise, and administer the implementation of the project-specific QA/QC Plan and QA/QC staff.
Reports to: Project Manager or Project Executive
Essential Duties & Responsibilities*:
* Manage the development and implementation of the project-specific QA/QC Plan in coordination with the project team, the owner/architect team and the contract documents.
* Assure that sufficient, qualified specialized staff is assigned to provide the required knowledge and experience to execute the plan.
* Maintain a collaborative working relationship with owners, architects, consultants, subcontractors and vendors to ensure that the project-specific QA/QC Plan delivers a fully compliant project.

* Implement project-specific QA/QC Plan in coordination with the project safety plan.
* Understand the project execution plan and coordinate QA/QC procedures at appropriate stages of the work, in line with the project schedule.
* Continually improve strategies and tools to efficiently and effectively document, track and record compliance with the contract documents.
* Execute the project-specific QA/QC Plan in a manner that engages all project staff, subcontractors, vendors and consultants.

* Conduct testing and inspections and arrange for third-party testing and inspections. Analyze and report the results.

* Research and apply additional QA/QC and Lean procedures to enhance the quality of project delivery.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training. The below salary range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Process Quality Assurance responsibilities cover a wide array of manufacturing areas and a broad variety of processes on inert and energetic materials.
The position will start on day shift and has the potential to move to rotating shifts.
In this job, you will:
+ Perform visual and final dimensional inspections to verify items are acceptable to the following requirements: Blueprints, CAD drawings, specification, Quality Procedures, and planning instructions.
+ Inspections are performed using calipers, depth micrometers, height gages, I.D. & O.D. micrometers and stationery and portable CMM's etc. on tight tolerance materials, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
+ Use of Geometric Tolerancing to verify true positions, runouts, profiles, flatness, perpendicularity requirements.
+ Reviews data ensuring temperature/humidity requirements are met for in process and deliverable hardware.
+ Other duties as assigned
This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.
This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level 3.

+ High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years of additional education and/or related experience.

Primary Level Salary Range: $44,400.00 - $74,000.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $52,700.00 - $87,900.00
