What you will do as an Installer
* Collaborate with Installation Project Manager to schedule product installation in coordination with equipment delivery, customer availability, and construction schedules.
* Prior to installation, verify rough-in dimensions and utilities are adequate to meet equipment specifications. Ensure doorways, elevators, and hallways are sufficient to allow equipment transport to installation site.
* Perform installation of STERIS products, including, but not limited to: uncrating; assembling; setting or lifting product into place; leveling; connecting utilities; and testing unit.
* Complete service documentation electronically.
* Ensure Customer satisfaction through post-installation activities to include disposal of all associated packing and shipping crate material, ensuring equipment is wiped down and fingerprints are removed, and addressing any questions/issues before leaving the site.

Required:
* High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of recent mechanical experience in a construction or HVAC installation/repair field or associate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical or similar degree, plus 1+ year(s) of related mechanical experience.

The Substation Equipment Installer Manager is responsible for providing leadership, guidance, and direction to the Substation Construction work group with statewide responsibilities for all major equipment installation and specialty equipment transportation required on substation projects that are part of the Georgia Power Transmission capital investment portfolio. This position will be responsible for ensuring that Installer crews and Switch test technicians have the training, equipment, and resources to successfully execute their projects. This position is also responsible for transformer and breaker capital commissioning overflow support for Transmission Maintenance Centers across the state.
This role will provide guidance to a leadership team of a crew supervisor and four construction field managers who oversee 3 foreman with 42 covered employees, roughly 40 contract resources, 5 test technicians, 3 inspectors and an analyst working statewide. In addition, they will also be responsible for a crew supervisor with three foremen who oversee 39 covered employees. It is anticipated that this position will oversee roughly $7M in annual contractor spend for the foreseeable future. TROUBLESHOOTING AND REPAIR
* Tests malfunctioning electrical equipment using appropriate test equipment to diagnose malfunction.

* Observes operation of machinery and equipment to verify repairs.

What you will do as an Installer
Collaborate with Installation Project Manager to schedule product installation in coordination with equipment delivery, customer availability, and construction schedules.
Prior to installation, verify rough-in dimensions and utilities are adequate to meet equipment specifications. Ensure doorways, elevators, and hallways are sufficient to allow equipment transport to installation site.
Perform installation of STERIS products, including, but not limited to: uncrating; assembling; setting or lifting product into place; leveling; connecting utilities; and testing unit.
Complete service documentation electronically.
Ensure Customer satisfaction through post-installation activities to include disposal of all associated packing and shipping crate material, ensuring equipment is wiped down and fingerprints are removed, and addressing any questions/issues before leaving the site.
The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed
Required:
High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of recent mechanical experience in a construction or HVAC installation/repair field or associate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical or similar degree, plus 1+ year(s) of related mechanical experience.
Plumbing and electrical experience strongly preferred.

* Perform installation of STERIS products, including, but not limited to: uncrating; assembling; setting or lifting product into place; leveling; connecting utilities; and testing unit.
* Complete service documentation electronically.
* Ensure Customer satisfaction through post-installation activities to include disposal of all associated packing and shipping crate material, ensuring equipment is wiped down and fingerprints are removed, and addressing any questions/issues before leaving the site.
What you will need to be qualified for this position
* High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of recent mechanical experience in a construction or HVAC installation/repair field or Associate's degree in Electronics, Mechanical or similar degree, plus 1+ year(s) of related mechanical experience.
* Plumbing and electrical experience strongly preferred.
* Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and Customer communication skills (verbal and written).
* Proficiency in computers and Windows software.
* Flexibility to handle multiple and changing priorities.
* Ability to work flexible hours, sometimes outside "normal business hours" and travel extensively to support business needs.
* Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
