They are open to anywhere from 3 years' experience or higher. The electrical experience is key and more important than the mechanical, just because the mechanical can more easily be taught. Conveyor experience is not required, but a plus. Previous experience repairing mechanical and electrical machinery in a manufacturing setting. No entry level, need previous experience. Associates would be nice but not required if they have the experience. Assignment length: Contract to direct - based on 1040 hours. Hours: Core hours are 8-5, travel position so may leave to go to sites earlier and return later. Overtime: Expect to work 50 hours per week. Will pay time and a half for OT. About the Role Facilities Technician: The Facilities Technician (FT) provides the daily care and focused attention necessary to maintain a clean, efficient, and operational environment within the facility. FT will perform inspections, maintenance, and repairs on the cultivation facility and machinery as directed by the on-duty supervisor. FT will provide meaningful feedback to leadership to ensure maintenance is real time, strategic, and executed seamlessly within the operation. FT will interact with vendors and contractors to ensure all jobs leverage the appropriate level of expertise. Duties and Responsibilities: The main responsibilities of the Facilities Technician include all aspects of the facility and the departments within in terms of addressing the respective maintenance and repairs necessary to maximize production and prevent failures while maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation inside the facility and production areas. * Responsible for daily sanitation procedures including bathrooms, hallways, break areas, and anything inside/outside of the facility. * Restocks all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), trash, and restroom supplies throughout the building daily. * Perform minor repairs of all buildings and equipment with minimal supervision including but not limited to grow lights, fans, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc. * Perform major repairs at the direction and under the supervision of the Facilites Manager. Major repairs may include working alongside and coordinating with external contractors or licensed tradesmen. Repairs can include emergency situations and/or scheduled repairs. * Responsibly use and/or operate vehicles, tools, materials, parts, maintenance supplies and equipment when necessary and ensure that they are used safely, effectively, and efficiently. * Install and maintain new equipment (assembling racks, installing dehumidifiers, etc.) as directed by the Facilities Manager. * Troubleshoots minor maintenance issues involving electrical, structural, plumbing, and equipment. * Follow maintenance and repair schedules set forth by the Facilities Manager and ensure routine maintenance is performed in a timely and efficient manner. * Scheduling maintenance when the scope is outside realm of expertise, but continuously learning from contractors to eliminate the need for outside services when possible. * Other duties as assigned; scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands. * Undertake occasional custodial and janitorial tasks (shoveling snow from the sidewalk) * Wash the employees' uniforms in our onsite washer/dryer area and sorts by employee ensuring that employees have clean uniforms for their shift every day. * May help in other departments as needed/Other duties as assigned. Administrative Duties: * Maintains accurate records of repairs, equipment cleaning, maintenance and calibration and any other facility systems related logs assigned by on-duty supervisor. * Promptly reports any system failure, malfunction, or facility damage to the Facilities Manager * Assists with the completion of daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment, and maintenance procedures * Must be able to adhere to facility SOPs. Additionally: Assist in the completion of secondary Facilities tasks according to company needs. Follow all aspects of the workplace safety program, biosafety program, and maintain compliance with all rules and regulations. And maintain a clean and safe environment on the production floor. Education and/or Work Experience * High school diploma or equivalent experience required. A Bachelor's Degree preferred. * Minimum of 2 years of experience in building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repair preferred. * A strong knowledge of trades- plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, tile, miscellaneous repairs and maintenance or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience. * Knowledge of the marijuana industry strongly preferred or other highly regulated industry. * Work history showing flexibility and willingness to accept additional projects or challenges. Mandatory Qualifications: A successful candidate will need to be at 18 years of age and in compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Must complete State and Federal background checks and fingerprinting.
