ProKidney is seeking an experienced Research Associate for our Cell Therapy Process Development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cell therapy or biopharmaceutical development, process optimization, and technology transfer. In this role, you will lead or support the development and improvement of cell therapy manufacturing processes, contributing to the advancement of cutting-edge therapies. Responsibilities:
Design and execution of experiments to optimize and improve processes for cell therapy manufacturing, including but not limited to media preparation, cell expansion and harvest, and product formulation. Analyze experimental data and present results in a clear and actionable manner to stakeholders.
Provide technical expertise in the development and implementation of new techniques and technologies. Support troubleshooting and process improvement initiatives.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing, to ensure the successful transfer of process into GMP clinical and commercial manufacturing.
Support the characterization and validation of cell therapy processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal standards. Conduct process performance qualification (PPQ) studies and support clinical trial material production.
Ensure that all process development activities adhere to GMP and applicable regulatory standards. Support regulatory filings and audits as needed.
Preparation and review of technical documentation, including process development reports, batch records, SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), and change controls.
Assist to identify potential risks in process development and manufacturing and implement strategies for mitigation, ensuring the successful advancement of cell therapy programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field.
2 plus years of experience in cell therapy and /or biopharmaceutical process development. Ability in execution and troubleshooting experiments, analyzing/ reporting/presenting data. Experience in aseptic techniques is essential.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work in cross functional teams, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple projects.
Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing.
Understanding of GMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements for the development of cell-based therapies. Experience with regulatory submissions and support for inspections is a plus.
Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Understanding of basic statistics and working knowledge of statistical software (e.g. JMP).
Must be comfortable handling human tissues.
There will be occasional weekend work.

The Research Analyst I is responsible for the data analysis and preparation for the Onion Crop Insurance Program and Onion Removal Pilot Issues Evaluation Report. Major job responsibilities are categorized in six areas: 1) Industry Research, 2) Insurance Experience, 3) Policy Content and Structure, 4) Rating Sufficiency and Analysis, 5) Pricing Analysis, and 6) Plan of Insurance.
Specific job tasks include but are not limited to creating statistical summaries to provide a scope of the crop program and each region (insured liability to total crop value, total liability, loss ratios, among others); determine if there are any discrepancies between the policy provisions, procedures, current practices, and technology in the industry, and identify any policy vulnerabilities and weaknesses; perform an independent evaluation of the prices established for the insured commodity; and prepare statistical summaries of county average yields.
Qualifications
The Research Analyst I shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/Power point) and related tools and technology required for the position. Ability to work with large databases and data mining tools. Ability to work with Research Analyst II & III to conduct relevant analyses. Ability to dentify regional differences in crop yield, marketing, and risk factors.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required: GS-10 Equivalent: Bachelor degree in a quantitative discipline (degree examples include computer science, statistics, data science, economics, mathematics, geography, plant biology, crop science, agronomy). 1-3 years of experience with demonstrated understanding of relational databases, descriptive and predictive statistics, survey administration and data collection. Experience leveraging time series, geospatial, weather, agricultural, or trading/price-discovery data a plus
Ability to work with large databases and data mining tools. Ability to work with Research Analyst II & III to conduct relevant analyses. Ability to dentify regional differences in crop yield, marketing, and risk factors.
Experience in project management in the agriculutral insurance field for private companies and/or governments.
TRAVEL: Travel as coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.

Responsibilities:
The Scientist - TSMS PAR will initially focus on the delivery of parenteral operations, specifically regarding technical transfer and process validation. TSMS PAR Scientists will support one of either formulation, filling, or visual
inspection (VI), although may support multiple areas during start-up phase. Upon the start of commercial production, this role's objectives include maintaining the validated state of applicable processes, establishing and monitoring
metrics/methods to ensure a state of capability and control, harmonization of control strategies across process
teams, evaluate process improvement, and serving as an escalation point for day-to-day operations issues. The role will also author and execute protocols as well as conduct root cause investigations. The principal role is a position
that develops and implements a technical agenda and is responsible for providing technical leadership for the
Parenteral Process Team. The principal role expected to serve as a mentor within the TSMS team and engage in
upstream and external to site activities related to parenteral manufacturing.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
• Support the assigned Process Team (formulation, filling, or VI) as TSMS representative. • (Associate/Senior) Serve as floor-level support and technical interface for manufacturing components, equipment, and operations for the TSMS team.
• Represent Concord TSMS team for internal and external communications on a regular basis
• Lead risk management activities as it pertains to product/process
• Provide technical support to non-routine (e.g., deviation, complaint) investigations, including consultation on quality and stability issues
• Prepare and Review or approve, as required, relevant technical documents such as: Annual Product Reviews, Change Controls, Regulatory Submissions, Deviations, Validations, Procedures, PFDs, PFMEAs, etc.
• Develop, monitor, and appropriately react to established statistically based metrics in real-time to assess process variability and capability
• Identify opportunities and lead technical projects to improve process control and/or productivity
• Serve as interface with upstream suppliers and parenteral product networks
• Drive stability strategy for Concord products
• Provide Audit support as needed
• Identify opportunities and participate in projects to improve process control and/or productivity
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or higher an engineering, packaging science, or related field
Additional Skills/Preferences:
• Pharmaceutical and/or medical device manufacturing experience

$66,000 - $171,600
