RMSER history
RMSER company history timeline
RMSER was formed on October 1, 1980 as a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to provide employment, training, and educational opportunities to Colorado's disadvantaged populations.
RMSER was awarded its first Head Start grant in Mesa County in 1984 from the US Department of Health and Human Services.
In 1991, the Pecos Community Center was given to RMSER by Denver Mayor Wellington Webb and now serves as an early learning location, community center, and RMSER’s headquarters.
In 2002 RMSER was awarded the Head Start grants in Pueblo and the surrounding counties of Las Animas, Conejos, Costilla, Alamosa, and Huerfano soon followed.
New mission and vision statements in 2019 reflect a future-oriented commitment to social awareness and community empowerment.
