Safety Coordinator We are seeking a Safety Coordinator responsible for leading and supporting all safety activities within the facility. This role ensures effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of site safety and health policies and procedures. This is a Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM position, with some flexibility based on business needs. Occasional Saturday work may be required during plant emergencies. No travel is required. Key Responsibilities * Develop and deliver safety training for all employees, including office and outside sales personnel. * Conduct timely accident and incident investigations; provide prompt reporting to Plant Management and the Site EHS Manager. * Ensure corrective actions identified in safety committee meetings are completed and communicated within established timelines. * Conduct annual reviews of safety manuals and update as needed. * Maintain HazCom compliance and current SDS documentation. * Coordinate Industrial Hygiene surveys (air, noise, ergonomics, etc.) as required. * Ensure SOPs, JSAs, and LOTO procedures are in place for all new processes, materials, and equipment before use. * Review safety documents such as safety committee minutes, inspection reports, forklift inspections, accident reports, and near-miss reports. * Maintain records of all employee training, hazard corrections, and workplace inspections; submit required documentation to corporate for recordkeeping. * Perform weekly, monthly, and annual safety inspections. * Manage hazardous material checks and hazardous area inspections. * Oversee annual safety program updates, including the Safety Manual, IIPP, Emergency Procedures Manual, and Emergency Contingency Plan. * Perform other duties as assigned. The Snow Safety Director is responsible for designing, implementing and managing the Avalanche Program and Snow Safety team to ensure the safety of employees and guests within the resort's operational areas, and surrounding terrain. may require additional work outside of normal operating hours to provide an AM and PM forecast. Compensation will be given for time spent on AM & PM forecasting while not at the resort. Overtime to be given after 40hrs/wk. All other Nordic Valley employee perks apply. When proven necessary for resort operations, continuing education courses such as UAC PROSAW, ISSW, Avy Rescue, Pro 2 etc. may be required. The Snow Safety Director is responsible for designing, implementing and managing the Avalanche Program and Snow Safety team to ensure the safety of employees and guests within the resort's operational areas, and surrounding terrain. may require additional work outside of normal operating hours to provide an AM and PM forecast. The ESH Coordinator actively supports Layton Construction project teams to ensure the effective implementation of environmental, safety, and health standards at site level. * Monitors safety conditions and works with the project team to ensure consistentenforcement of OSHA and Layton Construction standards and policies. * Assist ESH Manager to investigate accidents and serious near misses, collecting initial data relevant to the investigation. * Monitors workers compensation issues on Layton projects and works closely with the ESH Manager to collect and report timely and accurate information. * Conducts or assists project team site-specific safety orientations. * Participates in pre-construction meetings for Layton projects, highlighting project safety needs and issues. * Assists project team and case managers with injury management to ensure cost effective industrial medical care is provided. * Conducts industrial hygiene surveys as necessary to detect gases and noise, conductrespiration fit tests. * Provide support as required to VP-Field Operations and Human Resources personnel toensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, and Worker's Compensation law. * Provide safety related training to employees and sub-contractor employees at site level as assigned. * Participate in monthly corporate Safety Committee meetings. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications * BA/BS preferred with at least one year of experience in construction or industrial health and safety programs. * Completed OSHA 30-hour training for construction AND Safety Trained Supervisor (STS). * Demonstrates good interpersonal relations, maintains effective relationships with others. * Has good verbal communication skills: Expresses self clearly and effectively when talking with individuals and groups. * Has good written communication skills: Expresses ideas clearly in writing.
