BDA is seeking a Systems Administrator, residing under the Support Layer of Digital Technology Team. This role administrates and implements various Systems and Support Layer applications, tools, and reports within the BDA, IT Environment to improve and mature this layer and integration of existing and new technologies. Location Requirement This role is considered onsite 4 days per week (with 1 day remote) Roles and Responsibilities Perform designated Systems Administrative duties within our BDA IT Environment and provide reporting on established intervals and meetings. Works with IT Desktop Support Manager to assess and help to remediate operational risk in client hardware, systems, and applications in the BDA IT environment. Acts as point of escalation for Help Desk team on Systems Administration Issues within the areas assigned. Systems auditing and reporting; detect, and seek to remediate problems relating to performance, failure, or intermittent issues of System Administration. Make proposals for Systems Administrative upgrades consistent with organizational growth and need. Adhere to all Change Management Policies and Procedures, including full documentation of testing and pre-production activities. Maintain regular communication with users and supervisors regarding issues, priorities and concerns. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be able to work evenings or weekends on limited occasions. Required Skills and Experience Excellent analytical and problems solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be a self-starter with a proven track record of driving initiatives to completion. Able to support a workload that is a blend of project-based activities and issue escalation response. Individual must be able to juggle various tasks and effectively prioritize and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to Lead related small to medium size IT projects within the Systems Admin role; define scope, LoE, Stakeholders, Communications schemas, describe risks and benefits in appropriate detail. Desire and ability to effectively troubleshoot applications and systems quickly and with the correct diagnosis on most first tries (comes from experience). Must be able to solve problems and communicate in / from remote locations. Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively, to work effectively with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization and balance multiple priorities with a positive attitude. A can-do attitude, and calm under pressure and when working towards a deadline. Qualifications 4+ years of Help Desk experience a must in a diverse heterogeneous technology environment. 4+ years of supporting common, critical applications such as Exchange, Active Directory, Sharepoint, and MS Office applications. 2+ years of working with an enterprise-wide deployment and MDM tool set (e.g. Autopilot, Intune, JAMF, etc) including patching, major version upgrades, troubleshooting, administration, product selection, etc. Support and Maintenance: Perform basic system and network support tasks such as resetting passwords, troubleshooting minor issues, and maintaining documentation. System Monitoring: Monitor system performance, including CPU, memory usage, and disk space, to ensure systems are functioning efficiently. System Updates: Apply patches, install updates, and maintain software on servers and workstations. User Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with security policies. Assists with audits including installed software, configuration (e.g. compliance % for Security Policies, installation of various products, records of systems in asset management platform, etc.) Familiar with system application deployments and refreshes/upgrades. Supports Help Desk manager in development of policies, processes, and procedures around System Administration. Demonstrated experience with automated patch-management for operating systems and firmware. Preference given candidates with 4-year degree in computer or related equivalent academic credentials.
