    LOGC2

Salesforce administrator job in Huntsville, AL

Job DescriptionDescription: Remote - Occasional on-site at Fort Belvoir, VA Who We Are: Connected Logistics builds secure, mission-critical IT and logistics solutions for the U.S. Army and other federal stakeholders. Our team values integrity, excellence, teamwork, and professional courage delivering real impact for national security missions. What is AIE and Why It Matters: Accessions Information Environment (AIE) is the Army's enterprise recruiting and accession system. A cloud-based, Impact Level (IL)-4 Salesforce-powered platform built to replace multiple legacy recruiting systems. AIE streamlines lead generation, prospect tracking, applicant processing, enlistment paperwork, and onboarding for new soldiers, giving recruiters a modern, mobile-accessible, unified tool. Working on AIE means you'll be contributing directly to how the U.S. Army recruits, processes, and manages new soldiers. What This Role Means for You: As a Salesforce Developer at LOGC2, you will implement and maintain Salesforce functionality using low-code / no-code / OOTB tools first, extending custom development only when required. You will work within a high-security, compliance-driven DoD environment, collaborating with technical leads, architects, DevSecOps engineers, testers, and government stakeholders to deliver secure, stable, audit-ready capability. This position is designed for early-career Salesforce Developers (3-5 years) who have supported DoD, federal, or other secure environments and are ready to grow in a structured, mission-critical program. You should be comfortable working with guidance from technical leads and architects while still owning your work and delivering discipline. Key Responsibilities: Build Salesforce solutions using declarative tools: Flows, Validation Rules, Record Types, Page Layouts, and Lightning App Builder. Implement Apex or LWC only when business needs cannot be met through configuration, following secure coding standards and DoD compliance expectations. Support integrations using Salesforce-native tools or REST/SOAP APIs, ensuring secure, compliant data transactions. Maintain and evolve the Salesforce data model, permissions, sharing settings, and field-level security in alignment with Army business rules. Participate in configuration and code reviews enforcing naming conventions, documentation standards, and version-control discipline. Support DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines: version control, deployment preparation, metadata integrity, and environment governance. Troubleshoot, triage, and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments using root-cause analysis practices. Produce and maintain audit-ready documentation: flow diagrams, change logs, deployment notes, configuration records, and traceability artifacts. Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, grooming, refinement) by providing realistic estimates and advising on OOTB-first solution options). Stay current with Salesforce seasonal releases, declarative enhancements, and platform updates relevant to secure, enterprise environments. Requirements: Experience & Background Minimum 3 years of Salesforce development or configuration experience, ideally within DoD, federal, or other regulated environments. Hands-on experience building declarative Salesforce solutions (Flows, automation, validation rules, layouts, security). Exposure to custom development: Apex, LWC, or ability to debug, modify, and extend existing custom logic. Understanding secure development practices, environmental governance, and compliance expectations in controlled environments. Exposure to OmniStudio tools (OmniScripts, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, FlexCards) preferred. Experience working with Azure DevOps (ADO) for work management, pipelines, and deployment coordination; Git-based version control preferred. This is not a role for brand-new developers. You must bring real delivery experience and the maturity to operate inside a secure, governed environment. What Sets You Apart: Salesforce Platform Developer I, Platform Application Developer, Platform Administrator certification. Prior project experience working in DoD IL4/IL5 secure environments. Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and metadata deployments. Experience working within multiple Salesforce environments Exposure to OmniStudio or other declarative frameworks. Total Rewards Statement We believe in fairness and clarity throughout our hiring process. The anticipated salary range for this position is $125,000.00-$138,000.00 USD. This is a good faith range based on factors such as your experience, geographic location, any applicable contractual requirements, and may vary slightly. Beyond salary, we provide a robust benefits package and encourage ongoing professional development, because your growth and well-being matter to us. We're excited to support you in building a rewarding career with us! Connected Logistics respects the need for confidentiality for all applicants. Connected Logistics offers an excellent benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a great 401(k) package, and generous Paid Time Off.
