Duties
During the course of their careers, Uniformed Division Officers carry out assignments in protection. Duties include:
Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, The Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
Traveling in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
Enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
Requirements
U.S. citizenship is required.
Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time you receive a conditional offer of employment, unless you have previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position covered by special law enforcement or firefighter retirement provisions, including early or mandatory retirement. Applicants with veteran's preference must receive a conditional offer of employment prior to reaching age 40 to continue in the application process.
Carry and use a firearm. Maintaining firearm proficiency is also mandatory.
Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Possess corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
Hearing loss, as measured by an audiometer, must not exceed 25 decibels (A.S.A. or equivalent I.S.O.) in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges. Applicants must be able to hear the whispered voice at 15 feet with each ear without the use of a hearing aid.
Submit to a drug test prior to your appointment and random drug testing while you occupy the position.
Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.
Certify that you have registered with the Selective Service System or are exempt from having to do so, if you are a male applicant born after December 31, 1959.

SELECTION PROCESS:
Written Examination:
Town of Bloomfield will administer its own Written Examination. Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications will be notified of the date, time and location of a written examination.
Oral Panel Examination:
Candidates who successfully pass the written examination with a 70% or above will progress to the oral panel examination. Candidates taking the oral panel exam will be notified of the date, location and time via e-mail.
Background Investigation
Upon successful completion of the oral panel exam, candidate's background and character will be investigated, including criminal record, driving record, employment record, military record and educational record and other related areas. A psychological examination, drug examination, medical examination and polygraph examination will be administered prior to final employment offer. The polygraph examination will include investigation and background areas mentioned above and including; medical history, financial history, gambling history, criminal activities including illegal use of drugs, illegal sexual activities and subversive, revolutionary or gang involvement activities. Personal data, prior conduct in police/security/corrections fields and basic honesty, integrity and thefts.

SCOPE OF DUTIES
Under the supervision of the Security Co-Chiefs or their designee, will conduct continual tours throughout the grounds and buildings to ensure overall security of the campus.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Monitor cameras and fire alarms.
Perform fire drills and lockdown drills as required.
Perform monthly checks of other devices to include, but not limited to, emergency lighting, exterior lighting. Report any deficiencies via email to the Assistant Director of Operations and the Security Chief. Submit SchoolDude to Plant Operations.
Handle transport needs of staff and students requiring medical assistance to the SHC.
Assist staff and/or students during emergencies.
Provide written reports of any unusual activities using the Daily Activity Report and, when necessary, the Incident Report.
Monitor areas in buildings or outside when used by staff or particularly outside organizations. Secure building areas when events are finished and the area is vacated.
Report through emails and/or SchoolDudes all exit, stairway and exterior lights in need of repair.
Report any unusual conditions such as loss of power, heat, telephone, fire alarms, etc. to the Director of Plant Operations or his assistant immediately. Also, notify the Assistant Director of Operations.
Responsible for covering weekend and holiday shifts. Should also be willing to accept other shifts as needed (i.e. coverage for vacation/sick leave time, etc.).
Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Perform monthly equipment checks as directed by the Security Co-Chiefs.
Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

You need:

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. **What Is the Opportunity?**
At Travelers, Our Risk & Security Officers assess internal and external cyber and tech risks and design, test, and monitor the operational effectiveness of cyber and tech controls at Travelers and key third parties. They identify opportunities to improve cyber and tech posture, assist in recommending and prioritizing risk-based remediations, and monitor and report completion. Risk & Security Officers provide assurance of internal governance practices and training and awareness of cyber and tech policy changes. As an Risk & Security Officer II, you are the point person for an assigned business area and/or enterprise function that identifies and analyzes multiple processes for cyber and tech risks. You will assess the associated controls for design and operational effectiveness. You will communicate the results of your work with business customers and, if applicable, third-party contacts. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will effectively convey the risk and business implications of any observations and make recommendations to enhance controls or processes. You will lead projects that have impacts across the department and enterprise.
**What Will You Do?**
+ Execute control assessments across all lines of business. Assessments will primarily focus on access controls, but may include other detailed reviews.
+ Owns a portfolio and/or business area which includes the review and work assignments for risk, policy, and/or cyber risk posture; analyze and assign cyber risk posture for more complex risks.
+ Make recommendations for process improvement within assigned lines of business.
+ Strategically lead risk discussions across portfolio and drive standardized cyber and tech control processes and procedures.
+ Recommend cyber and tech controls across multiple third party platforms (i.e., cloud, network, and endpoint control fundamentals) to create a solution that assures risk mitigation.

**What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?**
+ Degree in Computer Science, Technology Auditing, or related field.
+ 5 years' experience in a risk management, audit, computer networking, network security or related role.
+ COMPTIA, Security+, CRISC, CISSP, CISA or related cyber certification and/or pursuing a CISSP designation.
+ Knowledge of compliance concepts (i.e., PII, GDPR, PIPIDA, PCI DSS, FTC) in order to apply them to real world problems and identify gaps.
+ Deep technical knowledge of key security frameworks and assessments (SIG, SANS, NIST, PCI, SOC2, COBIT, SOX, ISO2700) and security principles and methods.
+ In-depth understanding of Cloud, Network, Endpoint (etc.) controls and how the controls inter-play within a control environment.
+ Excellent communication skills with the ability to consult on projects and present information effectively.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and follow through to ensure timely completion.
